Michael Jackson's Kids Might Suffer like He Did

Joe Jackson at it Again

Here we go again. Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, is up to his old tricks again. According to Fox News.com, Joe Jackson is planning to send Jackson's kids Paris, Prince Michael, and Prince Michael II on a world tour sometime in 2010. According to Jackson's biographer, Joe has offered two of the kids a recording contract. And listen to this. It turns out that they would be called The Jackson Three.

So what are the chances of this happening? Can Joe Jackson really do this? What makes him think that the children want to perform? It appears that Joe Jackson thinks he hasn't done enough harm to people's lives. All he has ever done was exploit people, including his own family. I remember watching the Martin Bashir documentary on Michael Jackson from 2003 and how Michael told him how he feared his father. He told Bashir about the beatings and the name calling. He would be so afraid of his own dad that he would throw up. Everyone wonders why Michael Jackson became so unstable. Hmmm, a father that would never let him be a kid and play with other kids. Oh yeah, he made fun of how he looked. It's really nice for a parent to tell their child that he/she has a big nose. And of course, the beatings added the icing on the cake. This guy did not even do it for disciplinary purposes. He beat Michael when he didn't do as well as he wanted him to. I always thought that parents are supposed to praise their kids for their accomplishments.

Someone in my immediate family can relate because she had a parent that always made fun of how she looked while growing up as a child and it has affected her for her whole life. "My father always made fun of my acne and he had his wife take me to the dermatologist because he couldn't stand seeing it," she said. Putting someone down over and over again can lead to feelings of resentment and low self esteem. Because of the verbal abuse that was endured, she can be very critical of how she looks and has had low self esteem. Also, while growing up, I had some hurtful things said to me and it made me feel worthless and unimportant. I cannot imagine what it feels like to have it done over and over again.

I'll tell you, the way things are going now, the future of Michael Jackson's three kids is going to be scary. I find it interesting that Joe Jackson and his wife Katherine are still married, yet, they don't live together. Now I see why. Kathryn gained temporary custody of the kids and since she is still married to Joe, he thinks he can move in on them. Honestly, I hope she never gains custody of Jackson's kids. I am not claiming Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe is an angel either, but anything would be better than enduring a childhood with Joe Jackson. Whatever happened to the nanny that watched Jackson's kids and took them places while he was busy? I really do hope she can gain custody of the kids.

I am not surprised that Katherine and Joe Jackson are trying to gain custody of the kids. In the end, Jackson's estate won't be worth anything thanks to the reported several hundred million dollars of debt the singer racked up. According to the Associated Press, even Jackson's parents filed for bankruptcy in 1999 and reportedly had $24 million in debt. If they are looking to make tons of money from his estate, they are sadly mistaken. While an exact debt amount is not known, it has been said to have been between $300 and $400 million dollars. Oh yeah, don't forget about the money that the city of Los Angeles had to pay for his memorial. Yep, now everyone knows why Joe Jackson wants to get his hands on those kids. All he'll do is put them through the pain that he put his son through all of those years. This saga will be going on for months to come.

I heard a judge say that Catherine Jackson will be told by the judge that if Joe gets involved with those kids, she will lose custody.

You make an excellent point here, Drew.

It all comes down to money, doesn't it? I hope the courts will take into consideration who would be the best guardian(s) for these kids instead of just looking at how they are related. Great article.
