Michael Johns Makes Me Dream On

Are you kidding me? Randy and Simon both called Michael Johns a "wannabe." I guess he doesn't fit into the cookie cutter pop star image that they REALLY want to produce. I am absolutely in love with Michael Johns and every time he gets on stage, I know I am in for a treat. I was pretty disappointed with how they judged him last night.

He sang one of the greatest rock songs ever, in my opinion, Aerosmith's "Dream On" , and blew it out of the water! It truly was amazing.
I just can not fathom someone calling him a wannabe when he IS so unique. They said he tries to imitate the rock stars that he is singing, which again , I find totally ridiculous. I am just not happy with Simon and Randy's comments toward him.

My favorite performance of his was during Hollywood week when he sang Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" . I was utterly blown away. I knew he would go far in the competition even though American Idol isn't really famous for making contestants into rock stars...except Chris Daughtry...we all know he was a wonderful exception. Every single week I enjoy Michael Johns' performances and I will be one of the first in line to buy his album, whether he is the American Idol winner or not.

Although, last year I did not watch American Idol after the first show they did in Hollywood. None of the contestants were enjoyable to watch. The only one that had an inkling of star power, to me, was Blake Lewis and of course, he didn't end up winning. I vowed never to watch American Idol again. Yeah right! I didn't watch the audition episodes this season...only began viewing it while they were already in Hollywood week mode. That is when I fell for Michael Johns. He reminded me of a Jim Morrison , only sober, which is a great thing. Just imagine what Jim could've done if he hadn't gotten into the partying scene. I hope Michael Johns will be one of the more responsible rock stars of our era. He has the talent, he has the looks, he has the charm.

His performance on the April 8th show disappointed the judges, except Paula. (Nothing really ever disappoints her.) It sure did not disappoint me and his other fans. He stood on the stage belting out that classic as good as any rock star could. Sure, there might have been a few pitch problems, but what concert have YOU gone to where the singer didn't have any pitch problems.? I was pleasantly pleased with Michael Johns' performance and I am still dreaming on...

Honey, I agree. And he's gone. How is KLC going to stay on, and Michael be gone? Whatever, he'll pull a Daughtry and become more then anything AI could give him. All I ask for is a record deal, thats it. I will buy his CD.. Hell, I might buy more then one!

I TOTALLY agree with you. The judges did not give him enough credit and now he's gone. I AM SO PISSED OFF!!! How could they call him a "wannabe" but not Syesha? She is the one who thinks she's Whitney but falls WAY short. So the judges decided because he had a bluesy feel one week he must do it all the time? Please! The judges, who should have known better, didn't get him and the audience unfortunately followed. I really hope he gets a record deal because I will definitely buy whatever he puts out. GOOD LUCK MICHAEL. SORRY AMERICA GOT IT WRONG.

I am BLOWN away! I cannot believe he is the one to go home tonight. David Cook and Michael Johns are the only reasons I started to watch American Idol.
