Michael Kors 2008 Summer Collection

Michael Kors has recently released his new line and it's absolutely gorgeous. Subdued tones and clean cuts make the pieces look classic, but somehow Kors gives each piece a funky flare. Here is a look at his new collection, which includes dresses, jackets, tops, and bottoms.

My favorite piece from this collection is the Crosshatch Tweed Jacket & Pencil Skirt. The double-breasted jacket has a beautiful neckline with a spread collar. The short sleeves and the large black buttons down the center truly revamp the traditional suit jacket. The jacket has a thin black patent belt around the waist to give the perfect silhouette. The pencil skirt is simple and ends right under the knee. The entire suit is black and has a crosshatch pattern all over. The jacket is $1,495.00 and the skirt is $795.00.

The Cashmere Trompe-l'Oeil Sweater is a white sweater tee with a jewel neckline and short sleeves. There is black trim along the neckline, which gives the appearance of a rounded collar and belted waist. This top is simple and chic. This sweater costs $795.00.

The Chiffon Bow Blouse is a silk top with a mandarin collar that ties in a large bow that drapes down the front of the top and long sleeves. This top has a black and white tweed-like pattern and is very slinky. This top is $1,295.00.

The Wide-Leg Jeans are casual with a perfect fit. They are a dark wash with wide-legs and a slight cuff. They look great with heels and look phenomenal. The jeans cost $109.50.

The Drop Shoulder Belted Blouse looks perfectly suited for a summer safari. This button down top has loose roll-up sleeves, a crisp collar, and a belted waist. The rolled sleeves are secured with buttons and buttons down the center. It comes in sand or white, but I prefer it in sand. This top costs $89.50.

The Beaded Tunic is a black, scoop neckline with jewel accents. The tunic is black and the bust is gathered. This top is sleeveless and it looks great with white trousers. This tunic costs $109.50.

The Patent-Embossed Bell Skirt is a wool skirt with patent pieces all over. It looks very fun and stylish and would be great for a night out. It has a beautiful silhouette and stops above the knee. It would look great with a simple bright top to bring a splash of color to this fun look or it would even look cute with a plain black top to let the skirt shine alone. This skirt costs $1,995.00.
