Divided into sections, Haunted Heritage displays tales of haunted homes and school all across North America, and it does not hold back any details. Stories such as "Patty Canon" reveal the not so best of our ancestors and reveals their deep and dark secrets, and what great lengths they went through for their brutal crimes not to be realized.
The stories are told by the people who experienced them, and all the details of each haunting and incident are not left out. What you see is what happened. You see the pain some families went through as evil spirits and odd occurrences plagued their family or the humorous side to these tales as the family describes a playful ghost (or ghosts) that enjoyed playing pranks.
Of course, you always have the helpful ghosts who enjoy helping people out, such as the man and woman ghost who tended one family's children as they slept. If the room was too cold or too warm, they would carefully adjust the heat and tuck them lovingly into bed to assure none of them caught a cold.
Did you attend a college that was said to be haunted? Check out Haunted Heritage, you just may find stories about your school amongst the pages. You'll find that haunted colleges aren't really rumors or in the imaginations of the students, they are real and they do happen. These ghosts followed students during play rehearsals or during regular outings and events with friends in their own dorm rooms.
This book is easy to follow and fun to read. If you'd rather skip ahead to where you are from, the Table of Contents is easy to read, laying out each individual story and its corresponding page number so you can turn directly to it. An index is included in the book with names of where each haunting took place. Finding the exact location of a haunting is easy when it comes to this book.
If reading this book just isn't enough, check out the bibliography that lists suggested reading. These tales include more ghost stories and other books that may be of interest to the amateur ghost tale reader (or the expert for that matter!).
