Michael Savage's Free Speech Fight!

Free Speech Fight

Donovan448
It might not surprise you, but another "free speech" hypocritical group called CAIR, Council on American-Islamic Relations, is trying to censor Michael Savage who apparently said some sentence or sentences that offended Muslims. Some people say, "So, what's the big deal? It doesn't affect me." And I say, "Oh yes it does!" If this group succeeds in censoring Michael Savage, they will censor others as well.

Some people think that, no matter what, the U.S. Constitution will not be changed, especially since the U.S. Congress is too busy fighting one another rather than managing the country. But I have news for them. It doesn't have to be changed. All it takes is one victory from CAIR to transfer free speech into censored speech. Fear is more powerful that people give it credit for. In fact, fear of this CAIR lawsuit has influenced me to write this document, which explains exactly what American people will lose if Michael Savage should lose.

If Michael Savage were to lose this CAIR lawsuit, it would create a shark effect, allowing other "free speech" hypocritical agencies to sue as well. This would cripple the talk radio business for investors or advertisers don't like risk (the idea of losing money), and they definitely don't like losing money either. So if Michael loses this fight, talk radio will become too risky for them. Meaning that it would be only a matter of time before all talk radio shows became extinct. Of course, this event would only signal the beginning of the free speech battle.

Have you read any of today's newspapers? I have, and unfortunately, due to the editing/censoring process, they are very dull. They don't use similes to compare objects, and they don't use satire remarks -- irony, sarcasm, or ridicule -- to grab the reader's attention. Huh, reading a newspaper is like reading a health or car insurance document; no one wants to do it. Also, newspapers don't report good news to balance the bad. And, in some cases, before the editing/censoring process is complete, newspaper editors even butcher their own literature by omitting commas because of page space concerns. If this is not censorship, then what is? No wonder newspaper businesses are having a hard time trying to sell their product. They don't have much of one after the editing/censoring process. That is why the U.S. Government along with CAIR and other fake "free speech" agencies are targeting Michael Savage. Silencing him is only the first step. Forcing the Internet bloggers to the standards of the newspaper format will be next. Then finally, public street speech will collapse. It's all about controlling what is said and written.

Make no mistake. If Michael Savage doesn't prevail, arresting or jailing people who speak in public could be next. What's that you say, too far fetched? Well my friend, not really. Remember the "Don't tase me bro" guy. Why wouldn't the U.S. Government classify speech? It already has begun classifying certain crimes as hate crimes. What makes you think that it wouldn't classify public speech next?

Hate crimes are a funny concept. I don't fully understand them. I though a crime was someone who broke the law. What is a hate crime? Is it someone who hatefully broke the law? If so, then what is the difference between a crime and hate crime? And, who or what identity determines an ordinary crime from a hate crime? Is there such a thing as a fear, passion, or religious crime? The same is with hate speech. What is hate speech? Doesn't free speech consist of all speech? Imagine a police officer ticketing someone for speaking something that they deemed inappropriate on a public street. A free speech tax, maybe? Don't laugh because the U.S. Government as well as the U.S. State Governments have passed even worse laws that this phony one. And, these government always seems to find another way to tax its population. In fact, I can see the U.S. Government ticketing or arresting people on the basis of religious, hate, or fear speech. Funny, I often hear gays and lesbians insulting Christians. But for some reason, their insults are measured as okay while Christians' rebuttals are classified as hate.

What's that you say? I shouldn't have used the word Christian? Why? Is that word a form of hate speech? Some people believe that politics and religion should not be discussed. And I say, "what good is free speech if you don't or can't use it?" It's ironic that Christians -- founders of the U.S. -- are now harassed by their own government.

Michael Savage is right to repeat Edmund Burke's statement: "The only thing for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing." This time, the United States of America is sitting in the middle of a road intersection, waiting to pick a path. Which one will it choose, good or evil? Michael is also right about history repeating itself, especially when he refers to Hitler's rise to power. It is true; losing free speech means losing the country. Despite what CAIR thinks, I know this county better than it because I know my country's history.

It's unfortunate, but this country has had it share of evil. The United States used propaganda against Indians like Hitler used it against the Jews. If you were to compare the number of Jews who died during Hitler's rule (about ten years) to the number of American Indians who died from 1492 to 1892 (400 years), I'm sure that you would be shocked. I was when I thought of this. I'm not proud that our government had once legalized American Indian mass murder.

This is the reason why free speech is so important, and why Michael Savage (a good man) must triumph. Sometimes, in order for the unjust to be exposed, free speech must be imposed. To me, CAIR, ACLU, Media Matters, and groups like them are just another version of Hitler's SS. It's sad, but I seriously doubt that the American people can depend on the baby boomers (sons and daughters of WWII veterans) to save this country. Unless the American people can rid their U.S. Congress of these treasonous Senators, Congressmen, and Congress women, they along with the U.S. Government will be responsible for destroying this country, not the terrorists.

Time is running out. Only good men will determine if evil triumphs in the United States of America. Already, political candidate articles can't be published during a number of weeks before an election, and since the explosion and success of Conservative talk radio, the Fairness Doctrine bill is being considered in the Democrat controlled congress once again. What is to stop a Congress, CAIR, ACLU, Media Matters and groups like from defeating us since our real elites (U.S. Troops) are over seas? People like Michael Savage.

  • MICHAEL 'SAVAGE' WEINER - WACKED OUT JEW P4/28/2011

According to Stephen Schwartz, who was then a left-wing activist and writer, Weiner carried an unusual letter of introduction. "He had met Allen Ginsberg in Fiji," he recalls. "He had this photograph of himself swimming naked with Ginsberg." Ginsberg was a notorious pedophile and member of North American Man Boy Love Association.

Wow, I thought I'd seen Slippery Slope arguments before, but *this* one takes the cake. That said, to hell with all the whining "somebody might be offended" cry-babies. As Mike often says, Free Speech (right or wrong, hateful or loving) is THE root of any "free" society.

You are CORRECT! Everyone should support Michael Savage and start listening to him, as well!

    cont'd...
but if his advertisers find it distasteful, hateful and downright disgusting they will shop elsewhere (which is their right, if you believe in democracy).

    Unbelievable!

When you confront someone with what they said and it affects their bottom line, then you are labeled as a unpatriotic fascist that hates free speech.

Look again and tell me who is the hypocrite facist here.

Give me a break. There is no censoring going on. Michael Savage is the one who is sueing CAIR because they (oh my god, this is the end of western civilisation as we know it) let his advertisers listen to what he has to say about Islam, Muslims and the Quran.
If anything, they are promoting his show for Pete's sake :).

All they are doing is letting the paying advertisers listen to the words that are coming out of Mike Savages mouth, and therefore could be associated with the products that they are selling. Then they ask the advertisers a simple question...

DO YOU WANT YOUR PRODUCT(S) TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH WHAT THIS MAN IS SAYING?

If they see no problem with 'his speech' he has nothing to worry about. If they do have a problem with it, they'll take their business elsewhere.

Its called a free market economy. Get with the times.

No one is forcing Mike Savage to stop raving and ranting about the evil of Islam, Muslims and the Quran.

He can say whatever he wants to say,

We support free speech, of course. Isnt' there a different kind called hate speech though? Of course Savage tapes can be played and a jury can decide if the speech used by Mr Savage can lead to a hate crime or not?
