What Happened On The View
Evidently Whoopi "nudged" Salahi to cue her to stay on topic, and Michaela later used the word, "hit," which led Whoopi to use "choice words."
Of course, for someone as tiny as Michaela, a nudge could feel like something more aggressive.
The ladies on The View were pummeling Michaela with questions about whether she crashed the White House party and calling her the so-called "gatecrasher."
Meanwhile, during The View, The Real Housewives of D. C. "co-star" Lynda Erkiletian made accusations that Michaela's husband, Tareq, had "verbally abused" women at her table. When Lynda asked Tareq to "keep it down," the story goes he threw a glass of wine at her. Lynda then threw a glass of alcohol back at him.
Michaela attempted to explain that the hostility perhaps originated with Lynda's own verbal abuse toward Michaela-constantly belittling her and accusing her of being anorexic. Michaela recently disputed being anorexic in an interview with In Touch magazine.
In the end, Michaela came across as an extremely tough cookie. How does anyone maintain her composure when dealing with a "Jerry Springer" mentality of the women from The View combined with a East-coast-style snobbery of some the other housewives?
We will find out the whole story about the White House party crash incident when Michaela Salahi releases her book. Oh, the women on The View may have rolled their eyes at the thought of Michaela having her own book. "I'm not going to buy it," they may say indignantly, but hey, it's the stuff that keeps their viewers tuned in!
As far as the argument between Michaela and Whoopi, I give my vote to Michaela. Whoopi comes across to me as a controller. It would be better if she learned to control her mouth.
As for the constant stream of media attention about the alleged breach of White House security, investigations, etiquette issues and the fact that some people were offended or indignant by Michaela-- um, lighten up! She's thin, beautiful, blonde and sweet. And she deserves her own Barbie doll in that awesome infamous red dress! And the rest of you guys need to have some Virginia wine-really!
