At Michele's Country Suds Dog Spa all the equipment is brand new and well maintained. Michele takes one-on-one time with each dog. She lets them walk around and sniff everything, making them more comfortable with this "new" environment. Michele explains that it is very important for the dog to feel comfortable. If the dogs are relaxed, they will enjoy the experience that much more.
Michele loves each of her clients and loves to pamper them. Her grooming process is very thorough, from head to tail. She starts with getting the tough stuff out of the way. The dogs get their nails cut and filed, hair de-matted, and the their ears plucked and cleaned. Next comes a relaxing hot bath and a massage followed by a blow-dry. The dogs will receive a trim, cut, or a shave, which ever is needed. Michele then adds the finishing touches, such as a light mist of one of her fabulous spa fragrances and a sassy bow for the ladies or trendy handkerchief for the gents! After each dog is looking his or her best the grooming is completed with a little treat of a natural baked cookie. When her customers return their pet is groomed, relaxed, and very happy.
Michele explained that when the dogs can have a good experience the first time, they are excited to return. She has even had dogs actually run up to the building, to get inside!
Michele also had some great advice: "A shiny, healthy coat starts within," she said. "Go to your local feed store and get your pet on a good diet of high quality food. The food you find in the grocery store is not what's best for your pet, and those with the shiny packages and bright colors are more likely to have lower quality contents. Surprisingly, those with plainer packages, are most likely your best bet!" she explained.
So, give your dog one more gift, and treat them to a visit to Michele's Country Suds Dog Spa, conveniently located adjacent to Becicas's Feed and Seed, 911 Washington Avenue in Woodbine, New Jersey. Call (609) 861-1998 to make your appointment!
