Michelle Obama on Jay Leno Discusses Children, IPod

Michelle Obama on Jay Leno? The Michelle Obama on Jay Leno appearance happened yesterday. The Michelle Obama on Jay Leno was interesting, as Michelle Obama and Jay Leno spoke about things other than Michelle Obama's political life as First Lady.

What did Michelle Obama on Jay Leno discuss? According to Examiner, seven of the ten questions posed by Jay Leno to Michelle Obama included:

What are Malia and Sasha dressing up for as Halloween?

Who disciplines the kids more -- the First Lady or the President?

What music does the First Lady have on her iPod?

What's the President's most annoying habit?

Would the President rather have world peace or have the Chicago White Sox win the World Series?

Who was the First Lady nervous to meet?

How did you celebrate Bo's Birthday?

Michelle Obama's answers to these questions gave a lot of insight in to the life of the First Lady. Michelle Obama told Jay Leno that the girls' Halloween costumes are top secret. Michelle Obama refers to her own musical taste as "eclectic" and has artists such as Sting, Mary J. Blige and Stevie Wonder on her iPod.

Jay Leno learned from Michelle Obama that Michelle gets frustrated with the President when he beats her in tennis regularly. Leaving his briefcase laying around was once noted by one of the couple's young daughters as the most annoying habit of our President.

The "First Grandma" doesn't disciple Michelle Obama's children very much. Michelle Obama joked with Jay Leno about his question about the White Sox and world peace. Michelle Obama said the choice between the White Sox winning the World Series and world peace was tough, but the President would prefer world peace.

Bo, the Portuguese water dog owned by the Obamas, had a birthday cake shaped like a dog house made of veal and celebrated his birthday with his brother, a dog owned by Senator Ted Kennedy. The dogs celebrated the event at the Rose Garden.

The Michelle Obama on Jay Leno interview is just yet another example about how our President and his wife are featured in the media. Never before has a President and his family been showcased in the media.

Whether or not Michelle Obama and President Obama's media presence takes away from focus on the issues is a matter of personal opinion.

I only saw clips of this interview and thought it was great. Its nice to see the First Family as people rather than just public figures. I wrote an article as well about one part of the Jay Leno interview with Michelle Obama. Michelle Obama Admits to Jay Leno- He Beats Me Quite Often
