Michelle Obama Pictures: Is the World Searching for Glamorous Michelle Obama Pictures, or an Offensive and Racist Michelle Obama Image?

Aida Ekberg
The internet has been abuzz with searches for pictures of Michelle Obama, but is everyone looking for the glamorous pictures of Michelle Obama in some of her many gorgeous outfits, or are they searching for an offensive and racist image of Michelle Obama that Google is apologizing for? This isn't the first time pictures of Michelle Obama have caused a stir (apparently the First Lady in shorts is just too much for some people), but this racist and offensive image is really a new low for those out to attack the President and his family. So are you looking for pictures of Michelle Obama looking glamorous in a beautiful gown, or the racist and offensive image that Google refuses to take down?

If you're looking for glamorous pictures of Michelle Obama, there's plenty of them out there, as our fashion-forward First Lady has become quite the Jackie-O. Of course some of the pictures of Michelle Obama's fashions have created quite a stir, including a few pictures where she was caught wearing a pair of shorts that some people thought were inappropriate for the First Lady (they really weren't that short; Sarah Palin's were shorter on her 'Newsweek' cover!). After reading comments on pictures of the First Lady's fashions, it seems some people find some of Michelle Obama's outfits too revealing. And by revealing, I mean some people think she shows off her amazing guns too much in strapless gowns and sleeveless tops. But for all the negative hoopla over pictures of Michelle Obama's clothing, there's much more praise for her unique and glamorous looks. And pictures of Michelle Obama in a strapless, champagne-colored dress have gotten the internet all abuzz about how beautiful our First Lady looks in it (you can see a picture of it here), but, unfortunately, this has been counteracted with plenty of negative buzz about a very racist and offensive image that turns up in a Google search.

The racist and offensive Google image is a picture of Michelle Obama's face that has been altered to have chimp-like features. Google has refused to take the racially insensitive picture down, and has simply taken out an ad that explains that many of it's search results are offensive, but that it simply doesn't manipulate its search results (which is part of the reason why the search engine is so popular). Of course this racist and offensive image of Michelle Obama won't be the first or last of its kind we see, but it is sad to think that there are people out there who believe that attacking the President's family in such a disgusting and racist way is the right way to show that they dislike him or disagree with him.

But while someone thought that posting this offensive and racist image would make us all view Michelle Obama in a negative light, it's really just made people sympathize with the First Lady, and they can alter images all they want, but it's the real pictures of Michelle Obama on the internet that truly show who are First Lady is.

First of all it the picture was not owned by or created by Google. They did not take it down because there is a thing called freedom of speech in America. Unfortunately, the Obama's and their staunch supporters do not believe in the Consititution. They want to fundamentally change what has made this country so great. Thus you have ppl wanting to depict them as animals. Secondly, why do you call it racist to depict a black person as a monkey and let it slide when it is done to a white person. I think it is because black people resemble monkeys more than the white ppl. Still why is it offensive unless there is some truth to it.. Admit it you think she does look like a monkey/ape and thats why it hurts so bad. So to the writer of the piece... F you and the Obamas and everything you stand for
