Michigan Amber Alert Issued for Three Missing Boys After Dad John Skelton Makes Suicide Bid

Tanner, Alexander, and Andrew Skelton Missing Since John Skelton Made Ohio Failed Suicide Threat

Donald Pennington
Michigan officials have announced an Amber Alert for the sake of three young boys, possibly endangered by their father, John Skelton, or at the hands of an unknown woman, identified as "Joann Taylor," said to be driving a silver van. Folks in the Michigan area of states need to be aware of three missing boys, who need to be recovered safely, after their Father's failed suicide bid in Ohio. Michigan police inform us of the boy's missing status and are asking for assistance in locating the children.

Is their mother available?
John Skelton and the boys' unidentified mother are seperated. Unfortunately, not much is given on her. Updates on this event, and other stories are available, here, or here.

What does Dad John Skelton say he did with his three young boys, Tanner, Alexander, and Andrew?
Police indicate that John Skelton claims to have given custody of the boys over to one Joanne Taylor, a friend he claims, to have met online. Michigan authorities are as yet unable to confirm the existence of anyone by that name, or in the community Mr Skelton claims she is from. The report goes on to allege he had said he did not want to commit suicide with them in the house. Statistically speaking, suicides are mostly committed with no thought of the effects on others.

Descriptions of the boys, please. Pictures? Share the Michigan Amber Alert, anyway.
According to msnbc,Tanner is 3 feet, 6 inches tall, has strawberry blond hair, has blue eyes and weighs about 40 pounds. Alexander is 3 feet, 9 inches tall, has brown hair and eyes, weighs about 45 pounds and has scars on his hairline and chin. The oldest brother, Andrew, is 4 feet, 1 inch tall, has brown hair and eyes and weighs roughly 57 pounds. Pictures of all three are also available there. "Joann Taylor" is said to be driving a silver van, and to be from Michigan. Since the mystery woman cannot be verified, she could, quite literally, be from anywhere. The more territory the Amber Alert reaches, the better of a chance to recover these three kids.

The more attention given to them, the more likely they will be found. Thanks for spreading the news.

I know, Mrs Cornfield. but, just on the outside chance he's not being full of shot, I'm still trying to spread the word.

These things all too often turn out badly, and it's hard not to give way to a sinking feeling in my stomach when I read them. Let's pray this one will be safely resolved, and soon.
