Michigan Avenue Bids Farewell to Borders

The store shelves at Borders located at 830 North Michigan are looking a little anemic lately, since word got out that their flagship store would be closing. It is a sad state, but Borders customers can score some sweet deals because all their merchandise is currently on sale. I should say rather that all books are on sale. Although loyal customers have known for a while that the store would be closing, it still hurts!

Borders is scheduled to close on January 7, 2011 and customers should be reminded that all sales are final and that the company will offer no exchanges or refunds. The Michigan Avenue flagship Borders was indeed the literally hot spot as so many celebrities did their book signings there. Although the end is nearing for Borders on The Magnificent Mile, it has not deterred away any customers it seems. The store is as busy as ever, and even more so, as people are trying to get some last-minute bargains in time for the holidays.
