Michigan Foreclosure Search

So Many to Choose From

If it's a foreclosure you're looking for look no further than Michigan. With the sixth highest rate of foreclosure in the country, there are plenty to choose from. But buyer beware, if you're looking to foreclosures as investment property keep in mind that Michigan also has an average unemployment rate of approximately ten percent. This means several things if you're an investor. Unemployed people typically have difficulty paying rent and unemployed people are leaving the state in droves in search of employment in a better job market than what the state of Michigan has to offer at this time. This may make rental property a bit risky.

A good place to start looking for foreclosed home listings in Michigan is at:
http://www.freeforeclosuredatabase.com
This is one of the few free search sites for foreclosures in Michigan. There is no signing up for anything to access the listings. You can search by city easily. Included within the listings are the actual address of the property and what the current asking price is. Most have photos included with the listings and typically have the agents email address also. The only thing this site is missing is information on the home such as size and amenities included.

The next site is somewhat similar to the first. In order to view details on the homes or obtain an address you will need to sign up for the free seven day trial first.
http://www.foreclosurefreesearch.com
This site gives you the city and street it is located on, how many bedrooms and baths and the list price without signing up for the free trial.

At www.foreclosuredatabank.com you can obtain a bit more information than the previous one, yet it too requires a seven day free trial to obtain the exact address and agent information. What is helpful about this site is it not only contains limited information about the home such as number of bedrooms and baths, it also includes the lot size and an estimated monthly payment based on a 30 year fixed rate of 5.9% with ten percent down. With this information you can better determine your price range to search in.

At http://www.nationalrelocation.com you can also search local foreclosure listings by city. Typically the properties listed on this site are up for auction and include the date of when the auction is to take place. One positive about this site is that they list through their own real estate agents. Once you locate the property your interested in you can locate the agent nearest to the property by clicking on the agent tab at the top of the page. Once at the agent's page you can contact them by phone or email. You can also view their website which includes a free list of their foreclosures. With each listing is an aerial photo of the property, the location of the property minus the address, number of beds and baths, square feet, year built and the auction date.

Good luck with your foreclosure search. You shouldn't have a hard time finding one in Michigan.
