When I decided to purchase new bedding for my master bedroom, I wanted to something luxurious. I wanted to lay down and feel relaxed after a long day. While ordering the Ginny's Egyptian Stripe Cotton Sheet Sets, I discovered the Microfiber Down Alternative Comfort Set at Seventh Avenue. While the set also came in real down, my boyfriend and I have terrible allergies and I knew real down would not be a good option for us. I ordered the set hoping it would be as soft, but happy that the price was so affordable.
The first comforter set I ordered from Seventh Avenue was navy. We have burgundy trim throughout our home and I thought the navy would be a nice contrast. I went ahead and ordered the king sized comforter even though our bed is a queen because the price was the same. When the package arrived, I immediately opened the zippered case and placed my arm in between the folds of the comforter and it was like placing my arm into a small package of heaven.
The microfiber fabric of this comforter set, which has a 230 thread count, was some of the softest fabric I have ever felt. It was so smooth and cool to the touch. The color was also spot on; rich, dark and regal. I immediately washed the comforter and placed it on the bed. While it feels cool to the touch and isn't an overly thick comforter, it keeps you nice and toasty, even on the chilliest nights. We didn't even have to use our electric blanket this past winter. In fact, we never even put it on the bed. So, in a way, you could say this navy comforter is also green.
The comforter set also came with two pillow shams, but they are nothing special and I've never actually used them. Though, they would be quite pretty if you decided to.
This comforter set is available in twin, full/queen and king in both down and down alternative. The colors available are chocolate, navy, olive and sienna. It doesn't matter what combination you get, all the sets cost $89.95. This may sound high, but trust me, this is one of the best comforters you will ever own.
I rate the Microfiber Down Alternative Comforter Set from Seventh Avenue a 5 out 5 stars. I loved this set so much I ordered another in the olive color and it was just as beautiful. I even plan to order the chocolate as well. I highly recommend this set. Not only is it luxurious, but it's affordable as well.

Imagine, navy being green. Ok, I know what you mean. I bought a Pacific Coast comforter from Costco last fall. They had two different kinds on a coupon--one was machine washable and the other had to be dry cleaned. I goofed and bought the dry clean one. But it's great. One night I woke up very hot and in a sweat. I found the house was about 60 degrees. I turn the heat up to 65. The sweating went away and I was no long too hot. It's funny, I've gone to bed when the house was in the 70s and never felt overly hot.
