Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP was initially architectured by Great Plains Software in earlier and middle 90's. Microsoft Dynamics GP/Great Plains versions 5.5, 6.0, 7.0, 7.5 are available for Pervasive and Ctree, and version 8.0 Microsoft Great Plains is available on MS SQL Server/MSDE platform only. Microsoft Great Plains 9.0 is offered in USA, UK, Latin America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, South East Asia and other countries where official language is English.
Microsoft Navision/Microsoft Dynamics NAV comes to its own shell - C/SIDE, database proprietary platform: C/SIDE, etc. Navision is flexible and grows with your business. It supports to small, mid and upper-mid segment. Navision has good market in Europe, UK, and USA. Now they are expending in Gulf and South East Asia.
Microsoft Axapta/Microsoft Dynamics AX is the rising star for Microsoft and it competes with mid-upper and upper segment. Axapta has modern design and its ability to expand. Integration with MS Office, Web Fronts/Business Portal/eConnect/eCommerce is the great feature in Microsoft Dynamics AX.
Microsoft Solomon/Microsoft Dynamics SL is made for project-driven organizations. Microsoft Dynamics SL has good features to handle all project related activities. If organization does not have project management software then project tracking is quite complicated task for them. Many ERP are failed to provide project management facility along with other functional modules.
Microsoft CRM 3.0/Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 solutions from Microsoft is a great innovation. Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 is integrated with Microsoft Dynamics GP 7.5, 8.0 and 9.0(with service patch). Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, XML Web Services driven MS CRM SDK with C# and VB.Net sample code are part of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
SAP Business One, Oracle E-Business Suite/Oracle Financials ERP products are competitor of Microsoft ERP applications in SME segment.
