How to Create a Gradient Beveled Picture Frame in Microsoft FrontPage
The first step is to draw the frame. Go to the top of your window and click Insert > Picture > Auto Shapes. That will bring your Auto Shapes toolbar up. Click the second icon in the toolbar. Then click the Bevel Square. Roll your mouse over the shapes to see the names of them. The shape is called Bevel. Draw your frame on your page. You will need to shrink the border of the frame some. To shrink the border, grab the yellow diamond and pull it up. That will shrink the border around the frame. The size of the frame will depend on the size of your photo.
The next step is to apply the gradient effect. Click on the frame to select it. Then open the Fill Effects by clicking on the arrow beside the paint bucket at the bottom of your window. Click Fill Effects when the menu pops up. Click on the Gradient Tab at the top of the Fill Effects box. You can apply the gradient that you want. This is what I used for my frame.
Two Colors - Color 1 - Lavender / Color 2 - White
Transparency - 0%
Shading Styles - Vertical
Variant - Bottom Left Square
But you can use any colors and style that you need. I applied a white border to my frame. I used a ¾ pt size border. But again, that is up to you.
The next step is to insert the picture that you want to use. Click in the middle of your frame and then click the Insert Picture icon at the bottom of your window. When the box pops up, locate the picture that you want to use and click the Insert button. You will probably need to size your picture down by grabbing the corner of the picture and dragging it inward.
It is best to size the picture to the size that you need in a graphic program. Fireworks, Photoshop, and Paint Shop Pro are good programs to use to size your image down.

I should add.... once you "select the frame" before inserting the picture, you've highlighted it in the code and therefore any insertion will replace what's selected.
I get exactly the same as Faisal - there's something missing here.
Everything was going okay until I tried to insert the picture into the shape through the 'insert picture' button at the bottom of the page. What happened then was that the shape got replaced with my picture. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Please help me out with this. Thank you.
