A vacation in Denver Colorado, at any time of the year, is an amazing experience filled with adventure and beauty. Unfortunately, wonderful experiences in the "Mile High City" often come with "Mile High" prices. The Microtel Inn, located minutes away from the Denver International Airport and fifteen minutes away from Downtown Denver, is one sure way to enjoy the beauty and excitement of Denver without sacrificing convenience or spending too much.

I have stayed there on numerous occasions thanks to my business travels in Aurora and Denver Colorado. I have yet to be disappointed. In fact, not only have I always seen the Denver International Airport Microtel Inn as a bargain, but I have never been disappointed by the amenities offered, and advantages to staying at the DIA Microtel Inn. The service has always been top notch. I have never had a problem, but the staff is so friendly and responsive that I am sure any issues would be resolved ASAP.

Room rates vary depending on day and length of stay, but you will find that most rooms cost approximately $75 - $85 per night. If you are a AAA member, or if you belong to AARP, you can usually secure a decent discount. I always try to stay under the Microtel "Rack Rate" program. With this rate, you are offered a guaranteed low rate on their rooms. The last time I stayed at the DIA Mircrotel, the room was $84.97 with all taxes and fees. With the location and amenities offered, that is a deal that cannot be beat in Denver.

Your room at the DIA Microtel includes a free breakfast featuring cereals, pastries, quality coffee, and fruit. You also have access to a nice fitness room, a large television with several premium channels, free local and long distance telephone calls. The free telephone calls alone saved me several dollars and cell phone minutes. The wireless internet was very convenient to setup and very speedy. And, if you are traveling with a four-legged companion, the Microtel Inn is also very friendly and accommodating to pets.

The greatest amenity is the location of the hotel. Microtel Inn at Denver International Airport has an amazing view of the Colorado Rocky Mountains and the Colorado Plains. It is this unique location that a Colorado visitor can take in both worlds that Colorado offers. The sun rises and sunsets are absolutely unobstructed and breathtaking. If you are staying for business or pleasure, make sure to take a minute to appreciate the beauty of Colorado.

Personal Perspective of the Microtel Inn at Denver International Airport

Microtel's are budget hotels, but this one does not feel like it. It is upscale, new, and designed for the family and business traveler. The location and price, however, absolutely cannot be beat. When you fly into Denver via DIA, you are at the hotel in less than five minutes. When you leave your hotel and head into Downtown Denver, the trip takes less than 15 minutes with good traffic. Most hotels located so close to downtown cost hundreds of dollars a night. The DIA Microtel is a perfect home base for any business or adventure that you could have in Denver.
