Christmas is coming and we all like to share our favorite recipes with one another. I would like to give you three quick microwave recipes that you can use for this wonderful holiday. I think that you will love them and I know that your friends will too.

The first recipe is for Peanut Brittle. This is a very fast and simple recipe. It can be done in no time. It is also very easy clean-up.

What You Will Need

1 ½ cups unsalted peanuts

¾ cup Karo syrup (white)

1 ½ cups sugar

1 /2 tsp. baking soda

3 Tbsp. butter

1 ½ tsp. vanilla

pinch of salt

How to Make

  1. Take your peanuts, sugar, karo syrup, and salt and mix them together. Place them in a microwaveable container. Cook for about 4-5 minutes.
  2. Next, you are going to add your butter and vanilla. You will cook this for about another 4 minutes. (your peanuts should be lightly brown)
  3. Last you are going to stir in your baking soda. It will look a little bubbly. Don't worry.
  4. Pour your mixture onto a cookie sheet. The cookie sheet does not have to be greased. There is enough butter in the mixture.
  5. Let the mixture cool. Once it is cool, then you can crack it into bite-size pieces

The next recipe that I would like to share with you is Peanut-Butter Fudge. This recipe is very yummy and makes lots and lots.

  2. Microwave on a low setting just until your chocolate is melted. Mix your peanut and chocolate chips together again. (this will make sure that the mixture turns creamy)
  3. Pour your mixture onto a cookie sheet and let cool. You can place it in the refrigerator if you would like.

What You Will Need

1/2 tsp.vanilla

2 tbsp. water

1 cup chocolate chips

½ cup walnuts

How to Make

  1. Mix all of your ingredients except the chocolate chips, vanilla, and walnuts in a bowl. Place them in a microwaveable safe container.
  2. Microwave the mixture on high for about 4 minutes. Stir.
  3. Place it back into the microwave and cook for another 6-8 minutes. You will want to check on it about every 2 minutes. Stir it around.
  4. Take it from the microwave and add your vanilla. Stir again.
  5. Pour onto a cookie sheet. While the mixture is still hot you will want to top it with the chocolate chips and walnuts.

I love making and giving candy as gifts for the holidays. It is a great way to tell people that you really care. It is also something that is fun to do. People are going to love this as a gift. Why not give the recipe to them on a little card. Attach it to your package. They will brag about your gift to everyone.
