Scores of eager moviegoers gathered at theaters July 14 to catch the midnight premiere of "Harry Potter and the Dealthy Hallows Part 2." Here's a look at what a handful of die-hard fans waiting in line to see the film at the Regal Cinemas in Dublin, California had to say about their hopes for --and fears about-- the final cinematic installment of Harry Potter's story.

"I'm most excited to see the end and the final battle between Harry and Voldemort. As far as it ending, it's sort of sad. [My dad and I] have read all the books together and been to every midnight show together, so it's bittersweet. I'm hoping it'll be like a 'Star Wars' kind of thing and [J.K. Rowling]'ll pull out a prequel." -- Alisa Burchfield, 19, Fremont, California

"I think it'll be accurate and really good. I'm really looking forward to the part in the book after Voldemort kills Harry in the woods and then when he sees himself at Kings Cross Station and talks to Dumbledore. That seemed like the beginning of the climax for me." -- Holly McLean, 20, Livermore, California

"I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle it when Ginny's mother comes out and kills Bellatrix. It's so intense." -- Laura Silva, 20, Dublin, California

"The final battle is going to be epic. I hear they changed it a little from the book to make it a little bigger. But really, every movie is better than the previous one. After reading all of the books and seeing the movies I get attached to the characters so it'll be hard when it ends." -- John Christiansen, 19, Castro Valley, California

"I think it's going to be pretty awesome. Draco Malfoy is my favorite character because in my opinion he's the best looking one, so I want to see him." -- Julia Reddy, 15, Pleasanton, California

"I'm looking forward to the part where Ron and Hermione kiss because I've been waiting for that to happen for a long time." -- Nikki Van Wagner, 16, Pleasanton, California

"Anything between Harry and Ginny has always been really awkward in the movies, so I'm kind of worried about how the ending with the two of them together will turn out. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of Neville [Longbottom]'s evolution, since he started as a nerdy character and but became a hero by book seven." -- Zoe Loza, 19, Walnut Creek, California

"I'm most excited about the battle between the Death Eaters and the wizards, but I'm also excited to see Snape again. He's a really good character. Throughout the other films he's been so evil that I'm excited to see him show his good side in the end." -- Alicia Fraticelli, 21, Pleasanton, California

"I'm looking forward to the very end. The books have gotten progressively darker and darker and you just want that happy ending. It'll be fun to see Harry and Ginny together, and Ron and Hermione together." -- Judy Christiansen, 50, Castro Valley, California

"I'm excited to see the whole battle of Hogwarts and how the kids' home of seven years becomes a war zone. I will shed a few tears when I leave the theater because Harry Potter has been a huge part of the last 13 years of my life, but the true magic of Harry Potter is that you'll always be able to go back to it." -- Kelly Avon, 19, Pleasanton, California
