Mid-Season Spoiler Alerts for Grey's Anatomy: Winter 2008

nd
The writers' strike has left us watching re-runs and an insane amount of reality shows. But this has not slowed down the rumors and spoilers about our favorites, such as Grey's Anatomy. The last new episode of the show aired on Jan. 10, 2008, with a slightly different twist. The narrator role shifted from Meredith to Miranda (Dr. Bailey), as the focus on her personal life amplified and she faced her shortcomings as a mother and as a wife. We are left with so many questions. Will Dr. Bailey and her husband divorce? Are McDreamy and Meredith really over, and what about Rose? Are Izzie and George going to make it as a couple?

If you just can't wait to know what happens next, I have some serious spoilers for you.

Dr. Bailey's story is not quiet over yet. She is set to narrate a few more episodes, as her personal storyline moves forward. TV Guide's "Ask Ausiello" claims that someone major is looking to get out of Seattle Grace. All signs point toward Bailey. She is the driving force behind adding Joshua Jackson to the cast of characters. Jackson was set to guest star in a few episodes that were to air late last year, but due to the writer's strike and his scheduling conflicts, the appearance was set aside. Now we hear that he is coming back, possibly as Bailey's (temporary) replacement. Don't worry guys, Bailey is not leaving the show - watching her character struggle with professional and personal life has certainly added a much-liked dimension to our favorite can-do-everything doctor.

Joshua Jackson will also be a love interest of one of the major characters. Care to guess? It's Sandra Oh's character Christina. Pacey and Christina will make an interesting couple - this plot line will give us a bit of insight how Christina's was impacted by being left at the alter.

Oh's character has another major storyline - she will be helping Meredith get over Derek, according to Spoilerfix.com. This will be overarching theme for Meredith for the rest of this season.

As far as McDreamy goes, him and Rose will date through the remaining of the season. Lauren Stamile, who plays Derek's new love interest, is set to stay on the show for at least seven episodes, so we have not seen the last of her (Kristin at E! Online). The romance will get serious, but rumor has it the two will not make it as a couple long term.

There is no scoop on the remaining characters, or when the show will be coming back. For now, settle for re-visiting Seattle Grace in re-runs or last seasons' DVD sets.
