Might This Be Jill the Lovely Cocker Spaniel!

It was a very pleasant day as I went about shooting birds along the Falls River Trail. I had shot Robins, Cardinals, Vultures, Blue Jays and a half dozen other birds.

Now I came upon some big game. You bet, there it was the cutest little Cocker Spaniel you've seen. After asking permission, I aimed and took my best shot. I shot it three times.

Now, I know it's important to remember what you've been shooting. That doesn't make it any easier. I believe the name I was given was Jill, but I hadn't brought anything to write with me.

If I'm wrong the lovely lady whose cute little pup this is; is welcome to comment of course with some identifying information, like what kind of hat I wear. It would be nice to always be right but in my case I have a skill.

As anyone can see from the photograph; the Falls River Greenway is an animal friendly trail with a paved surface.

The Cocker Spaniel is a very good breed of dog and they can be very affectionate. Being small in size, they make a good pet for people that live in smaller housing units, though the dogs are happy in large ones too.

This trail is a good trail for people who live in the immediate vicinity but like some trails in the Raleigh Greenway System, it lacks a defined parking lot. There is a reasonable amount of on street parking available on city side streets.
