Today's Report: Friday 8/13/10
Weight: 175# Again!
Silhouette: Looks like mine.
Attitude: 15/16ths Hopeful
Challenges: Who knew that 'hospitality' was enemy number one of the eager dieter? Not me. I always thought that those folks who love to prepare and then push good food on strangers were the best! Until now, when I am all of a sudden so calorie conscious. So we're putting a new roof on the house of my buddy's Mother-in-law, and she is one of those special people who love to give. On the first day of the job she had us sit down for breakfast while we waited for the materials to arrive, and then she talked the truck driver into joining us when he came with the load! And every day in the past 3 weeks she has produced complete "snack" loads, and piles of lunch!
So today was the last day of that job and I SUCCEEDED in receiving Suzanne's kind hospitality, but FAILED in restricting my input to any reasonable amount. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do, for other people that is.
Menu
Breakfast A nut bar, on the way to the job. A small pile of cut up cantaloupe, a slice of Kuchen, French toast, eggs with homemade salsa and cheese and a glass of juice.
Lunch Thankfully, we were rained out before lunch, so I only had what was in my own lunch box on the way home: Ham sandwich, one fig Newton, and some red grapes.
Dinner: Get this: I had a couple of dinner rolls, a liver sausage sandwich, and half a slice of chocolate cheesecake. Yes, a number 12!
Thoughts:
Hmmm; I wonder if it was these past few weeks of not even bringing a lunch to work that has been playing such havoc with my 'figure'.
PS. Don't tell the lumberyard that Scott, I mean, Andalusia (some names have been changed to cover up for late deliveries), stayed for breakfast when he should have been delivering to those jobs where all he got was a lot of guff about being late!
