Mike 'The Situation' and Conan Talk Tans, Facial Hair and Talent

"Jersey Shore" star Mike "the Situation" Sorrentino appeared on "Conan" on Tues., Feb. 22nd, to talk about his talent (or lack thereof), his book, "Here's the Situation," and his product endorsements.

Reading from Mike's book on tanning, Conan said: "you said pasty white complexions make you ill. 'To have no color is to not be alive.' I read that and I started to cry, as I read it."

Mike, or 'Sitch' as Conan decided to call him, said the book, "Here's the Situation," was definitely a humorous way of looking at things and fair-skinned Conan said: "I didn't find that so humorous." Conan said he's tried everything and just cannot tan. "When I'm in the sun for any length of time, I just look like I've been drinking. I get sort of a ... I get pink."

Conan also pointed out that the book puts down facial hair. "To each his own," Mike said, "I'm sure there's girls out there that like the caveman style.

"This is not the caveman," Conan said, stroking his facial whiskers, "This is like the dean of the law school."

Mike shaves his chest everyday too.

Conan than brought up Mike's frequent appearances without a shirt. "You find any excuse to be shirtless," he told the Jersey Shore star, and showed a picture of Sorrentino wearing only a tie with New York City mayor, Michael Bloomberg. Mike said that he hasn't really been showing the abs lately, unless he has to on the "Jersey Shore" show, because he actually would prefer to be known for "maybe being in front of the camera or some of my work ... maybe a little bit of talent, just a little bit."

"Okay, well, we'll see," Conan quipped.

On the topic of product endorsements, Conan O'Brien wanted to know if Mike had ever turned down an offer to endorse a product. Mike said:

"They came to me to endorse condoms and it said 'protect your situation from any situation' and I was like, you know what, I've got a lot of younger fans out there and I'm not going to do it."

That's is pretty funny coming from Mike Sorrentino when he's always trying to pick up girls on the show and take them to the Jersey Shore Smush Room.

"If it doesn't work," Conan said, "your girlfriend comes to you and says 'We got a situation.'"

They sure milk the hell out of that nickname.
