Mike Willcox-A Colorado Artist

Mike Willcox is a father, the Manager of Ace Pawn in Colorado Springs, Colorado and a Writer/Artist. He has been the manager since 1989. He has 5 kids and a beautiful wife.

Mike has written many songs and has produced several YouTube Videos that are really very good. He said he has been writing since he was 10 years old and has tried to develop his talent over the years. Mike is 37 years old now. He loves writing jingles and commercial type music, but is very talented when it comes to writing songs and putting together the various videos he has done. He loves a variety of style of music and writes for different genres. His favorite is Old Style music like Luther Vandross but he writes other types as well.

Mike is one of the real life American Middle Class Families we have heard the Presidential Candidates talk about. He is a dedicated father who spends time with his family and tries to teach them right from wrong. He believes in the American Dream and strives to keep his family's future looking bright. He wants to be able to give them, not only a good life now,but he wants their future to be happy and productive and to have possibilities as well.

As a father and a man who has worked hard his entire life, Mike feels as though the freedoms and opportunities of his ancestors are slowly slipping away.
He says America is struggling to get our world under control and to preserve our freedoms that our forefathers fought so hard to give us. He said all you have to do is be in a Pawn Shop on a daily basis and you can get a clear picture of our economy.

People are bringing more and more in to pawn and are having to leave it longer and longer because of their ongoing financial problems. They are losing valuable items that normally would be retrieved. Mike thinks not just the economy is in bad shape but the moral attitude and fighting spirit of Americans is in a decline. We have been beat down for 8 years now and with the war and the many problems going on, Mike felt he needed to say what had been on his mind for a while.

Mike hopes to gain some exposure and maybe pick up some work from writing and producing his music and videos.He wrote and produced a video on YouTube that really says it all. The name of the song and the video is "Trouble". I am putting some of the song lyrics in so you can see how powerful it really is. TROUBLE
There really is no place for a person to stand

Why should we vote?
This election this time seems like a joke.

Starving people in our streets that you can not see,

The definition of "Stand" from an American,
Sometimes I fell like there's no place to stand.
When Airplanes fly and the bombs collide, You see the building crumble,
I fall to my knees and I cry.
No you can't hide from man's creations, Devastation,
Seems we are always at war, can't even fix the problems at our own front door,
My Heart and Knees and Feet are weak,

Speaks volumes to the state of our country. Mike speaks to the hearts and minds of Americans across the country. Our country is in "Trouble" and Americans are scared.
