Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss in "Lady Like" Review

I recently bought a make up book to find out what colors would suit me the best. It gave me a lot of information and recommended products for my skin tone which is golden brown. One of the products recommended for my shade was Milani's Glitzy Glamour Gloss in a shade called Lady Like.

I decided to buy the $6.99 gloss from Walgreen's because it was affordable. The Glitzy Glamour Gloss comes in a tube that looks like a long vial with a metallic lid.

The Lady Like shade is a color that I normally wouldn't have bought because I normally go for nudes or gold colors. Lady Like was a little bit darker and had more brown tones than the lip colors I use. It's an interesting color though it looks like a metallic carmel shade that's been mixed with beige and a little bit of pink.

When I got home and used the Glitzy Glamour the color looked lighter on my lips than in the tube. Lady Like looked more like a metallic sand color with carmel tones than the other way around. It did look really good on me and it flattered my skin, hair, and eyes.

The gloss has a metallic and pearly finish so it made my lips look sexy and radiant. After using it, I saw that it looked good alone, but I've also used it over my lipsticks sometimes to make them glow.

I thought that the Milani gloss would look more shiny and c-thru since it's a gloss but it actually looks more opaque like a lip color. It feels light and makes my lips feel soft and silky rather than creamy

The things that suck about Glitzy Glamour though is the fact if you apply it directly from the wand it just looks way too intense and it takes over your whole face. The metallics in this make it hard to wear especially during the day and it can bring out yellow tones in your teeth.

So I always put a small dot of it on the tip of my finger and then I'll spread it on my lips. That way the color looks more natural and radiant, and less like you're about to go to Studio 54.

I also notice that because the Lady Like doesn't have a creamy texture and because it's kind of metallic if you use too much it just accentuates the lines in your lips which can look weird. But the thing I most hate about the Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss is the scent, it's like a chemical smelling fruit fragrance that lasts and lasts and kind of turns my stomach.

In The End ...

I do really like the Lady Like gloss because it is a cool color that looks really good on me. The scent is gross, but as long as you don't go overboard it looks really sexy and goddess-like whether you use it during the day or night. I'd recommend it to women with dark skin tones. 4 out of 5 stars.
