Miley Cyrus: More Naughty Pictures?
This Teen is Becoming No Stranger to Controversy
But are these pictures real? Some web sites are claiming the photos are faked and are not really of Miley. Blogs are full of comments regarding this (doesn't take long for news to spread, does it?). Some posts claim that the pictures of the girl are really someone a bit older.
If these pictures are really of Miley, she's really doing some potentially serious damage to her career. Earlier this year, as many of you may remember, she posed semi-nude for some artistic pictures which were published in Vanity Fair magazine. Then allegedly her MySpace page had some more provocative pictures of her posing wearing lacy red underwear.
What in the world is this girl thinking? It's difficult to speculate what goes on their household, but I would think her dad and publicist would be putting their foot (feet?) down and talking some sense into her. As a dad, here's my feelings on this! These latest pictures are not very revealing. In fact the poses don't look any different than what I see most young teen and tween girls doing these days. BUT, as the father of a 12 year old girl who watches Hannah Montana non-stop, I feel that taking all the provocative pictures of her printed this year into consideration this is unacceptable and she's becoming another bad role model for the kids. Is she to become another Britney, Lindsay, or Mary Kate and Ashley?
A few months ago it was reported that Miley had already earned $18.4 MILLION, just this year!!! I could live off that for the rest of my life. Perhaps Miley might think she's got more than enough money and it's time to start acting like a woman. Maybe as she's starting to become a woman she's looking ahead and wanting to start living more like an adult than a child. Wake up Miley! Millions of young girls are looking up to you to be a good role model! Try to be a Jodie Foster who made a successful transition from child star to adult star without falling into the sinkholes that Lindsay, Britney, and the Olsen twins have.

Dave there are yet again more nauty photos! lol. the girl cannot stop... she recently is cutting ties with disney and using her own name in her upcoming album... no more hannah montana.....also the naughty new pics are not that bad, but bad enough.... shes making out with some dude in a few photos. Everyone is saying though that she only did it to give the media a sense that she is more grown up now, and ready to take on more adult challening roles. lol..... then,,,, llifestyle condoms (maybe it was trojan, cant recall)- anyway the buzz is that they want her... to be the spokesperson for their condoms!!!! its crazy! All this in what... less than 2 weeks!

It's true that the media often plays these things up. It's sad to see such a young girl growing up so quickly. She's completely dependent upon the wisdom of her parents to help her make the right decision. I don't think they're doing their job. Great article. :-)

Thanks for the compliment! As the father of a 12 yr old girl, I see her magazines and Miley's pics are posted all over .... all the tween magazines have her pics week after week. Thing that gets me is how did Jodie Foster manager to become so successful, stay away from all the Hollywood parties, gossip, and manage to go from child star to adult star? Was it her parents doing such a great job keeping her out of the limelight? If she could do it, I would think other kid actors could do it as well.
wonderful article and you are correct, as the parent of a teenager (who now says she hates miley cyrus) but also of 2 younger girls I wish that child stars could still have some of their childhood and more protection by parents and agents. Unfortunately not everything that happens in Nashville stays in Nashville.
I guess what Miley should keep in mind, especially about pictures either she takes or friends take...is the best pictures are often NO pictures. It's difficult being a celebrity, especially a cute young girl, because the media is going to jump on EVERYTHING they can. I don't think Miley is doing a lot more than most other teen girls her age are doing (or so I hear from kids talking about their schoolmates and what my kids show me on Facebook). But she's in the public eye and she's a role model for very young girls. So while it may be difficult for her to be under such scrutiny she has to sacrifice something if this is the life she's choosing.
I wondered about these myself. Sometimes we just don't want to believe :-(
Great article Dave, I heard about this recently on the radio, and was pretty shocked myself, its like every other month more and more provocative photos of her are somehow leaked onto the net, and into the media. I havent seen the photos.... but I do know that a LOT of parents with young children are angry. Disney also dropped her... and shes looking to get into Nikelodeon.... lets see how that works out.
