Miley Cyrus in Trouble Again for Slant Eye Pose in Picture

Will She Ever Learn?

Tiffany Bell
You think that Miley Cyrus would learn about taking appropriate pictures by now. But apparently she hasn't. Miley Cyrus is in trouble once again for a picture that she took with some of her friends. In the picture, Miley poses with one of her Asian friends, while her and her friends pull their eyes so that they are squinty.. Cyrus is being accused of mocking and taunting Asians with her slant eye pose that she has in the picture.

The OCA, which is an organization in the United States that looks out for the welfare of Asian Americans, has asked that Miley Cyrus apologize for this slant eye pose. The organization says that the picture of Miley Cyrus and her slant eye pose "falls within a long and unfortunate history of people mocking and denigrating individuals of Asian descent." Even though an Asian friend was involved in the picture, the groups states that this doesn't make it okay for Miley to do this.

This is not the first picture that Miley Cyrus has gotten in trouble for. First it was her Vanity Fair photo shoot, that showed Cyrus a little too grown up and with a too little of clothing on. Then, last year personal pictures surfaced of Miley Cyrus in her underwear. So, this is her third incident with indecent pictures. You think that she would have gotten the hint by now. Maybe she should just stop taking pictures all together for awhile.

I'm sure that this picture does offend Asian Americans. I am not an Asian, but I do have Asian friends and I could never imagine doing this to them. The slant eye pose that Miley does in this picture is disrespectful and hurtful. Asians can't control how they look. Everybody looks different and this just goes to show how immature Miley Cyrus really is.

I wonder how much longer Disney is going to put up with the antics of Miley Cyrus. I think that this may be the last season we see of Hannah Montana and Disney may just drop her all together. Although, this may not bother Miley Cyrus that much, as she has made a name for herself outside of Disney now. She just needs to grow up and stay away from cameras.

Get over it. That's all I can say. Except that every little kid I know has done this to see what they'd look like. People should grow a sense of humor.

SHe is a kid and makes mistakes. Unfortunately for her, she is in the public eye and her mistakes have bigger consequences than a typical kid. Good coverage.

She is just immature but she does seem to be headed down a reckless road of acting or speaking before she thinks.

She's just a kid, and she's going to make mistakes. The problem is that she's in front of the camera all the time, so her mistakes are in our faces all the time. I hadn't heard about this latest good of hers until I read your article. Thanks.

    Great report!

If you are going to make tons of money from being in the public eye, you have to accept responsibility for your behavior. (See a certain Olympic swimmer, for instance.)
