Miley Cyrus TRYING to Get Fired from Disney???
Or "How I May Bite the Hand that Feeds Me"
Now WHY would that be? Evidently dad and daughter may feel that Miley's singing career may bring more fame and fortune than the Disney show. But let's see, who "created" Miley? Where would she be without Disney? And I guess I'm throwing in my own personal bias here, but holy cow.....I work a LOT of hours, have a family to support, and like a lot of other Americans I'm struggling to make ends meet. So naturally, when I read that a 15 year old girl has earned almost $25 MILLION dollars so far this year, I have a difficult time understanding all this alleged unhappiness in their relationship with Disney!!!! Do you all agree?
In addition, it appears that the close bond between Emily Osment, who plays Hannah Montana's good friend on the show (Lilly Truscott) may be "unbonding." Why might THAT be. Allegedly, Miley is getting jealous of Osment's rising popularity. It's been said that Emily Osment turns away from Miley after each scene on the set and things are pretty icy between them, now. There were also reports that Emily's father got into a heated argument with Billy Ray (Miley's dad) accusing them of being unprofessional.
So, WHAT DOES THE MILEY CYRUS PR group have to say about all this? Of course there's complete denial from Miley that she's trying to get fired from the show. The www.mtv.co.uk web site has said that Miley has hinted that this will be the last of the three series. So who knows....perhaps these reports of her wanting to get fired are more to whet the appetites of the readers for sensationalism in the news. It sure caught my attention....but then like I mentioned, while I'm struggling to make ends meet and I see children like Miley earning 10's of millions of dollars, and the Olsen twins empire worth more than a billion dollars....it just kind of gets me, "right here."

Excellent work Dave, it does seem (if rumors are true) that there are more important things now that she has been launched. Billy Rays career has been revived, after his judging on Nashville Star and she is off and running as a singer. Emily Osment is adorable and a great deal of the reason I allowed the show. But we don't do reruns, it's a rule in my house, so no loss there if al they show is reruns. I enjoy Waverly Place, great fun and amusing. We can always turn it off or watch something else. Too bad some people don't appreciate what they have. Give me a job that makes that much and people at my beck and call, you will definitely see loyalty.

Ya know, she's probably got a royalty clause in the contract which allows her to continue to get royalties on her show and as long as it stays on in repeats (and ratings stay high), she won't be forgotten. She'll probably earn more in royalties each year from repeats than you and earn in total for the year. It makes me sick. Does she really work any harder than the rest of us? I guess my gripes come at the celebrities and even athletes who complain that the millions of dollars they earn is not enough. They could all retire and live comfortably for the rest of their lives on what they've earned so far, yet it's never enough.
If she leaves disney shes toast. But she wont be missed too much... they will simply play repeat after repeat till kids get sick of her. With new great shows like Life With Derek, Wizards of Waverly Place, Suite Life..... she'll be forgotten. Honestly Im surprised Disney even wanted her after all of the stunts shes played. No one is that powerful... she will be replaced..... sad too... she 'had' it going on for awhile there. But then comes the ego, she thinks shes too good for her own good. lol. Great piece Dave!
