For this project, you will need:
- Eight inch tall square glass bud vase (found in stores or online at Save-On-Crafts)
- K & Co "Marines Grand Adhesion" Stickers (found in stores or online at Paper Addict)
- Delta Perm Enamel Air Dry Surface Conditioner
- Delta Perm Enamel Air Dry Iridescent Glass Paint in Dark Blue/Blue
- Delta Perm Enamel Air Dry Paint in 14K Gold
- Delta Perm Enamel Air Dry Satin Gloss
- Popsicle stick
- Sponge brush
- Artist's paintbrush
- Fancy script monogram letter stencils
- Masking tape
- Soap and water
- Paper towels
- Dark blue vase gems
- Mini American flags
- Newspaper
Due to the messy nature of the paint enamels used in this project, it is highly recommended that your work area be covered with newspaper prior to starting. Wash each bud vase carefully with soap and water. Dry completely with paper towels.
Using the sponge brush, coat the entire outside of the bud vase with Delta Perm Enamel Air Dry Surface Conditioner. Allow the bud vase to dry for an hour or longer. Coat the outside of the vase with Delta Perm Enamel Air Dry Iridescent Glass Paint in Dark Blue/Blue. Wait fifteen minutes before adding a second coat of paint. Dry for two or more hours.
With masking tape, adhere the fancy script monogram letter stencils to the bud vase. Use the letters for the bride and groom's names. Fill in the stencil using an artist's paintbrush and Delta Perm Enamel Air Dry Paint in 14K Gold. Let the paint dry for an hour or longer before removing the stencil and tape.
Use the sponge brush to coat the entire outside of the bud vase in Delta Perm Enamel Air Dry Satin Gloss. Dry overnight.
On the opposite side of the bud vase than the monogram, apply the Marine Corps Seal from the K & Co "Marines Grand Adhesion" Stickers set. Smooth the sticker with your fingers or a popsicle stick.
Fill the bud vase with dark blue vase gems. Insert a small American flag into the vase. Repeat this process with as many vases as you wish to have centerpieces.
TIP: Instead of a gold monogram, also consider using silver paint for a slightly different look.
