With the very big advertising push that as trying to sell me Miller Chill, I was definetly interested in what the beer had to offer.
The biggest problem with Miller Chill, for me, is the salt. I really think that it could be a very good summertime beer if it didn't include that salty taste. I know that salt has been known to be part of Mexican beer recipes, but I still think the salt that they used in this particular beer was overpowering.
I very much enjoyed the lite, and since it is Miller it is spelled lite, beer taste. I am not the biggest fan of Miller Lite, but I don't think that this is exactly the same beer. I also really enjoyed the lime flavor. Of course this wouldn't be a beer I would want to drink in the winter, but the lime flavor really gives the beer a great summer feel.
Overall I feel that Miller Chill is an attempt to make a Corona for the lazy. Instead of having to cut your own lime and put it into the beer, the flavor is already added for you.
While Miller Chill does attempt to get that Corona feel, the good news is that it isn't quite Corona priced. When I went to the store it was 2 dollars less for a 6-pack than Corona. That is good news because Miller Chill certainly isn't worth the same price as Corona.
I am not the biggest fan of Corona, but I definitely feel a Corona light with a lime is far superior to Miller Chill. This is probably still because of the overpowering taste of the salt in the Miller Chill. For the price Chill is definitely worth a try, maybe not everybody is against the salt taste like me. It is also worth a taste every once in a while, but I would not make this beer a part of the regular rotation.
Miller Chill was a decent beer at a decent price, but I would much rather go for the Corona or just get a regular beer. Chill definitely does not have me hooked and I can take a pass on it next time.

Post a CommentThanks for a great review of a product about which I was quite curious. I think I'll stick to real Mexican beer, or just my beloved strawberry margaritas.
