The south is famous for its Barbeque. There are so many ways that it is prepared and cooked, it depends on your personal taste to which is right to you. In Millington, Tennessee there is 5 Barbeque restaurants that each offer a different flavor to their meat. All of them offer takeout and big quantity deals for you if you are preparing for a family gathering or party. Here is a rundown of what is out there.

Tops Barbeque is a staple in the surrounding areas and just opened a restaurant in Millington this year. You get hungry just by smelling the aroma when you get out of your car there. It is located on Wilkinsville Road across from Wal-Mart. The service is quick and friendly and drive-thru service is available. They have an affordable menu available. They also have burgers for non-barbeque connoisseurs.

Barb-a-Rosa restaurant is the oldest of all of the Barbeque joints in Millington. It is located on Hwy. 51 beside the BP station. It is clean and service is great. You can phone in your orders if you are wanting take out or you can dine in. Their Barbeque sauce is vinegar based, I am not a fan of the sauce because you can really taste the vinegar. They have great appetizers and desserts available. My favorite appetizer is the mushrooms that are battered and fried.

The Millington Pig is located on Hwy 51 near Radio Shack across from Wal-Mart. It offers dine in and drive-thru. The service is ok, although I have had to wait more than 20 minutes for my food while dining in. It is clean and during its crowded times is a lively place to be. The ribs are great. You can order wet or dry, which ever style suites you. I do not recommend the baked beans though, flavor is off.

Pig-N-Whistle is located on Kerrville-Rosemark Rd. off of Hwy 51 north of Wal-Mart. It is kind of hidden away from the main hwy. The ribs here are the best and the appetizers are fabulous. It is clean and the service is friendly. If you want take out you have to come inside to pick it up, but you can call ahead. They have a variety of food for the non-barbeque eaters. They Salads, chicken, smoked sausages, and fish. The Peach cobbler is wonderful.

Wing-Hut is located on Navy Road across the street from Flag Manor apartments. If you like Barbeque chicken wings this is the absolute place to eat. Their wings are huge and have lot of sauce on them. They offer dine in or take out, and you can phone your order in to have it ready for pick up. My favorite sauce is the Honey Barbeque, it is amazing.

As you can see there is a lot of options for barbeque in Millington, Tennessee. Most of all, these are all great family restaurants. I hope these will help in your quest for hometown barbeque.
