Sparks fly in this fast paced, well written, paranormal romance.

Ms. Feehan continues to amaze me with her stories. The way she is able to weave together the pieces astounds me on a daily basis and Mind Game is no exception to the rule. Mind Game continues where Shadow Game left off, with the search for the other children that Whitney experimented on in an attempt to bring them to safety and teach them how to cope with the abilities they were born with.

Dahlia Le Blanc has spent her life isolated from other people due to her extraordinary telekinetic gift. At a time when she finally believes she's found some semblance of peace her life and world comes crashing down around her. For reasons she doesn't know she becomes the target of a team of deadly assassins, who wipe out the only family she's ever known, the two female nurses/companions that have been at her side for years.

Safety ceases to exist, they will hunt her no matter where she goes, not even the secret refuge she established long ago is left open for her to use. Instead she is forced to rely on a man who walked into the midst of the chaos at the very moment of the attack, Nicolas Trevane.

But he carries with him a danger of his own, as together they generate a heat Dahlia never imagined possible. Yet how can she trust this man with his secrets, his ability to kill, and a cold look in his eyes that turned to flame when he looked at her?

Wow- what can I say? This book drags you along, refusing to let you go. You're introduced to new characters who will play large roles in later books. You begin to realize just how warped the entire situation with Whitney truly was, and how many lives were damaged, and the passion between Nico and Dahlia is intense, from the very start. They can't deny it, even though she tries to hide it.

This book explores the instant attraction that can happen and the emotional arguments women often throw at themselves. How they cannot be with someone they've only just met, how secrets can destroy a life, or many lives, and yet you know, even as you read the novel, that somehow they will find the strength to move past the scars of the past. The problems don't swamp the novel, yet at the same time they are somehow the main focal point of the characters, emotionally at least.

I class this as a must read for those who love paranormal romances, with more than a touch of spice.
