News of the World published an interview with Mindy Lawton where she recounted meeting Tiger Woods while working as a manager at the Perkins restaurant Isleworth, near Orlando, Florida. She claims to have fallen in love with him, but that he was only using her for sex. Mindy Lawton says that although Tiger Woods appears shy on camera, he was very "macho, cocky and has a huge eye for the ladies."

Mindy Lawton says that Tiger Woods liked rough sex and that they had done it in five rooms of his mansion as well as a church car park.

One of the worst implications was that she had been sleeping with him while his wife Elin Nordegren was pregnant. Mindy Lawton also suggested that Tiger Woods was not happy in his marriage. "I knew he was married, but whenever he had come into the restaurant with his wife he looked so miserable. They didn't talk and never held hands."

Yet a friend of his reports that she had ended it after six months because she had been tired of being cooped up and having to sneak around. Yet New York Daily News suggests that Cori Rist could be holding out from the media in hopes of landing a deal.

Tiger Woods' friend suggested that he had gotten careless. "He saw all the action that Michael Jordan was getting on the side. But even Michael forgot you have to be discreet. You can't rub your wife's face in it. "

It's quite common for high-profile athletes to play the field. They often have the money, fame, and sex appeal to attract women. Yet it's a problem if they have to cheat on their wives in the process. If athletes like Tiger Woods are going to play the field, they should at least wait before getting married.

From his recent statements, Tiger Woods seems committed to cleaning up his act. Hopefully he's doing it out of love for his wife, not out of obligation to maintain a certain public image. If he wants to continue playing the field, then maybe he's better off single.
