Mini Businesses as Cash Generator

Josh Street
A mini business is the ideal quick cash generator to get you through a bind. When I say quick, I don't mean 24 hours quick but more like a few weeks. However the income you'll receive is far greater than what you would make with a normal job. Of several factors to have a success, time management is your number one concern. These things shouldn't be taking up every second of your life and if it is, you need to change businesses or loosen up your schedule somehow. You need to set your own schedule and follow it. Say no to time wasters distractions. Otherwise, you'll continually get off track and never get ahead.

The first thing you should do is purchase a daily planning system. If you go to an office supply discounter, you should find a selection of sizes, styles, and prices. You don't need a big, expensive one, but find one that will be big enough for your own needs. I use a Franklin planner, but any of the others will work just as well. They all work with the same principles of organizing and prioritizing.

The easiest way to bring in more income quickly is to offer a special price or package of your current products or services. If you can afford it and it brings profit, your only upfront expense will be getting the word out about your special. Depending on the type of business you run, this expense could be minimal. There are several articles on advertising and several free ways of doing so. You could also think about getting an employee, perhaps a neighbor kid or someone, to help take the load off you, as long as you pay what they think is a decent wage it may make your work much more worth it.

I'm not going to spoon feed you ideas so you can use them yourself. You have a brain, use it. If you can't think of ANYTHING to at least get the ball rolling, then perhaps you just weren't cut out for this business. Every business has hard times at the start. That's just a fact of life for the self-employed. It doesn't have to be so bad, though, if you plan ahead and take whatever steps are necessary. Package your products and services. They say that 75% of all new businesses fail or whatever. Well you can't let that be you. If you really want to succeed, do whatever it takes, or whatever your motto is.
