Boomers. Located in the North San Diego County city of Vista, just off the 78-freeway, Boomers provides a fun-filled, family atmosphere. In addition to bumper boats, batting cages, go-carts, and a two-story arcade, Boomers also boast two outstanding miniature golf courses: one with a pirate theme (including a hole that takes golfers through a cave, past an active "water fall") and another with a medieval theme (including, of course, a castle). Located just off of the 78 freeway on West Vista Way, Boomers is open from 12-8 pm Monday through Thursday, with extended hours (until 10 pm) on Friday and Saturday, and until 9 pm on Sunday. Unlimited golf is under $30 per person for both adults and children.
Sorrento Canyon Golf Center. Located just off the 805 freeway, near Miramar Marine Air Corps Station, the Sorrento Canyon Golf Center features a full size driving range and putting greens. In addition, the Golf Center has something that you don't find too often anymore: an 18-hole mini-golf course with real grass! Located on Carroll Canyon Road, it's a unique experience at a reasonable price, comparable to other mini-golf in the area.
Del Mar Golf Center. Located in the beautiful San Diego beach community of Del Mar, the Del Mar Golf Center is visible from Interstate 5, on Jimmy Durante Boulevard, right next to the Del mar Race Track and Fair Grounds. With a fun-filled oceanic theme, featuring bright blue putting surfaces, whales, dolphins, and various other ocean-creatures, the full 18-hole course is as much fun to look at as it is to play a round on. Open from 9 am to 9 pm Sunday through Monday, and until 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, the first round runs under $10 per person for both adults and children, with reduced rates to play a second round.
