Game Background

Defend your base against wave after wave of enemy evils. Employ the power of stationary turrets and harness the strategic corners of your mind to complete all of the missions.

Gameplay

The objective of mini Tower Defence (mTD) is, like any other tower defense game, to build stationary towers or turrets to defend against the waves of enemies that will inevitably attack.

There are a number of upgrades that can be purchased and obtained. To view the upgrades available, click on the Upgrades tab between missions. The available upgrades are:
-Initial Money: gets you more money to start with at the beginning of each mission
-Tower Prices: decrease the price of towers for each mission
-Money Per Kill: increase the amount of money you get from destroying each enemy unit
-Towers Damage: increase the damage that each of your towers can dish out
-Slowing Mastery: increase the slowing ability of the special Freeze towers
-Slowing Duration: increase the duration of the slowing effect induced by the special Freeze towers
-Poison Gas Power: increase the potency of the poison gas
-Bombs Radius: increase the radius of the small and big bombs
-Bombs Price: decrease the price of bombs
-Bombs Damage: increase the damage dealt by small and big bombs

When you begin a mission, you can start placing towers. At the bottom right hand corner of the screen, you can see the number of waves there are, the type of wave that is coming next (i.e. number of enemies, health of each enemy unit, and speed of each enemy unit), and a button that says Send Now. Pressing this button will send the next wave immediately. There will be a counter under this button after the first wave. This counter lets you know how much pressing this button is worth. Pressing this button early is a good way to achieve the Expert Score status. The Expert Score status can be achieved when you meet the score in yellow seen at the top right hand side of the screen. This score is below your current score for the level. Your total score is also displayed.

Deploy turrets to prevent the enemy getting to your base. Your health is indicated at the top left hand corner of the screen.

For an additional challenge, try to achieve Expert Score status on each mission. Doing so will not only feel awesome but will get you more upgrade points that you can use to purchase upgrades.

Game Review

mini Tower Defence (mTD) is a fun little tower defense game that has the basics of a tower defense game down solid, with the addition of many upgrades. The use of bombs is also an interesting addition. Overall, the game is entertaining if you enjoy tower defense games.

mini Tower Defence (mTD) scores a 7/10 for a good amount of entertainment value. Improvements could be made in the aspect of novelty. If this was the first tower defense ever created, it would score much higher. However, as it is, this and any other tower defense game needs a little more to truly stand out and shine.
