Which Model Car Brand is the Best?

Some of the coolest model cars are actually smaller than the usual 1:18 scale cars. These cars are approximately four inches long and have amazing amounts of detail on them. Many brands such as Minichamps, Autoart, Franklin Mint, Matchbox, and High Speed produce 1/43 scale model cars. These cars are not as detailed as their larger counterparts, but are sure awesome to own. Some 1/43 scale cars actually have steering wheels that allow you to turn the front wheels. That is a very impressive feature on a small model car, but they normally cost a lot of money. These model cars are for collectors who only want quantity over quality. An unusual thing about some of these cars is that they tend to lack detail. It is hard to understand why some of them even go for over sixty dollars. For those who are new to collecting miniature model cars, give the High Speed brand a try. Their model cars usually cost less than fifteen dollars apiece.

If you are only interested miniature European model cars, then you should give Minichamps a try. Minichamps is one of the few model car companies that has produced a 1/43 scale Rolls-Royce. This particular car can cost you a pretty penny, but the value makes it totally worth having. I use to own several Minichamps model cars and all I can tell you is that they make beautiful displays. Unfortunately, the average Minichamps model car can cost you over thirty dollars on www.eBay.com. If you are lucky, you may be able to win one at a very low price. I remember I won a Minichamps Corvette for only nine dollars last Thanksgiving. For more info regarding Minichamps 1/43 scale model cars go to www.minichampsna.com.

As far as Japanese cars go, Autoart is clearly the brand of choice for collectors since the company produces Nissan, Toyota, Honda, and Lexus model cars. The Autoart brand is very popular among European model car collectors as well. The great thing about that brand is that it has a wide selection of cars such as vintage racing cars. Vintage racing cars tend to be Autoart's most expensive line of model cars. My favorite model car from that brand is the black Porsche Carrera GT. For more details on the Autoart brand, please visit www.autoartmodels.com. Out of all the miniature car brands, Autoart seems to be the most exciting of the bunch.
