Below, I have listed three mini golf centers. Two are located right in Winston- Salem and the other one is located in High Point. I've included their hours of operation, other activities they offer and as close as possible the cost of each. Now is the best time to start checking out your options for summer fun, before the kids start to hollar, "I'm bored!"
Putt-Putt Fun Center is at 2418 N Main Street in High Point. Their hours of operation for the summer are very convenient and give you plenty of time to get there and enjoy yourself. Monday through Thursday they are open from 9 am until midnight, Friday and Saturday they open at 9 am and don't close until 1 am and Sunday they don't open until 1 pm but are open until midnight, still giving you plenty of time for family fun.
The cost of your fun day basically depends on how much golf you play and how old you are: 18 holes for an adult are $4.50. Senior citizens pay only $3 for 18 holes and kids that are 7 years old and under play 18 holes for only $1. They also offer putt-putt games and the tokens are 25 cents each or you can get 60 tokens for $10. They offer Go-Karts, batting cages and lazer tag for even more variety. They have a snackzone where you can purchase salty snacks, delicious desserts and cool refresments. For more information on the cost of the snacks, these other activities or any other questions, you can check them out at www.putt-putt.com or call 336-869-4273.
Another mini golf center you might want to check out is A Great Escape. Their address is 1806 Funtime Blvd. in Winston-Salem. They are located behind the Upper Crust Pizza on Silas Creek Parkway. They are open Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 10 pm, Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 11 pm and on Sundays they open at noon and close at 10 pm.
Along with mini golf, A Great Escape, offers Go-Karts, a gaming arcade, bumper cars and paintball. They also have a snack bar selling fountain drinks, ice cream and popcorn.
Like the Putt-Putt Center, their prices vary on what you choose to do and your age. They do offer some great family fun packages. For example, they have the "Family Escape" where you get 4-Go-Kart ride, 4-game mini-golf and 40 gaming tokens for only $34.99. You can add additional children to the package at 4.99 each and children under 5 years old play free. They also offer the "Family Great Escape". With this package you get 4-unlimited Go-Kart pass, 4 unlimited mini-golf and 40 gaming tokens for $59.99. You can add additional children to this package at 5.99 per child and again children under 5 years old are free. These are two great deals for a family on a budget looking for fun things to do together. If you aren't into Go-Karts and tokens, they do offer unlimited passes just for mini-golf at $14.99 a person. If you are a fan of the bumper cars then you can take advantage of those at $3 a ride. For the cost of paintball fun or any other questions you might have, be sure to check them out at http://agreatescape.net.
If neither of the above mini-golf centers strike your fancy then you still have "Adventure Landing" located at 1600 Stratford Road in Winston-Salem. They are open Monday through Thursday 10 am to 10 pm, Friday and Saturday 11 am to 10 pm and Sunday from 11 am until 10 pm.
Adventure Landing offers three 18-hole mini-golf courses. Each course has a different theme and challenges that take you through tunnels, mountains and waterfalls. They also have bumper boat rides that open at 4 pm and a gaming arcade. The bumper boats have built-in squirt guns and the arcade offers over 100 interactive games.
On Super Saturday get 4- tokens, unlimited mini-golf and 2 bumper boat rides all for only $10 per person. To get the most for your money be sure to get there right when they open, because it ends at 1 pm. It's a great deal.
Be sure to check out Adventure Landing's website at www.adventurelanding.com. They have lots of different deals for different days of the week all summer long. May 9th is National Miniature Golf Day, be one of the first 100 guests to play mini golf at Adventure Landing that day and you will receive a free 2009 mini-golf pass.
For more information on Adventure Landing: email: Josh Strickler at jstrickler@adventurelanding.com
I hope that you and your family have a great summer and that you get a chance to check out one or all three of these mini-golf centers.
