Hillbilly Golf

340 Parkway

Gatlinburg, TN 37738

Located near the beginning of Gatlinburg, Hillbilly Golf is a truly unique miniature golf course. Once you travel up the lift, you have a choice between two 18-hole courses. The courses are simply themed, however the thought of playing miniature golf downhill overpowers the simple theme. If you are going to try out Hillbilly golf, this author recommends wearing clothing equivalent to going on a hike, for example tennis shoes, and a jacket when it is cool outside. The parking for Hillbilly Golf is also limited. In order to enjoy Hillbilly Golf, play during off-peak hours. While driving by, this author has seen very long lines. Ripley's Old MacDonald's Farm Mini-Golf

1639 Parkway

Sevierville, TN 37863

Located within the Tanger Five Oaks Outlet Center, Ripley's Old MacDonald's Farm Mini-golf is a family friendly course that all ages will enjoy. With three different 18-hole courses, playing miniature golf for the entire day is possible. The course is themed around a farm with characters ranging from cows on the loose, to mud-diving pigs. On several of the holes, sound effects are triggered when a ball is putted in a certain area. Some of the effects are entertaining. One disadvantage of the Ripley's Old MacDonald's Farm Mini-Golf is the sped up Old Macdonald song that loops constantly. Next to the miniature golf course, there is the Ripley's Super Fun zone, featuring arcade games once your miniature golf game is complete. From personal experience these three miniature golf courses in Gatlinburg and Sevierville are worth playing.
