Miniature Golf in Fort Smith, AR

Probably the oldest place to play miniature golf in Fort Smith, AR is the Park Putter, located inside Fort Smith's Creekmore Park. Creekmore Park has a public swimming pool open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, a train for the kids, public tennis courts and a walking or running trail.

Creekmore Park is located right in the heart of Fort Smith, just off Rogers Ave. across from the main branch of the Fort Smith Public Library. Once inside the park, the Park Putter is easy to find at 3301 S. "M" St. Just go through the circle drive near the west entrance to the park and you can't miss it. The Park Putter offers two 18 hole miniature golf courses at a very reasonable price.

Hint: if you want to shoot a really low score, the course to the south of the entrance is a few strokes easier for most putt putt golfers. If you want more of a challenge, the north course is your ticket. The Park Putter's hours are flexible once it opens in the spring and snow cones are available at the concession stand.

It only costs $2.50 per person per game and in groups of three or more the person with the lowest score gets a ticket for a free game. In the middle of Creekmore Park, the Park Putter offers a real park setting.

The Park Putter closes for the winter and reopens in March or so.they are open until 7 through the week and 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, 7 p.m. on Sundays. The Park Putter offers special rates for school or church groups with prior arrangements.

All the holes on both sides are par twos with a lot of good chances for an ace at the Park Putter.

Putt Putt Golf and Games is another Fort Smith AR mini golf course. It is located at 4901 Towson Ave. across from a McDonalds outlet and next to Long John Silver's with an Arby's restaurant nearby also.

Putt Putt Golf and Games offers three 18 hole courses. In kind of a jungle motif, there is a waterfall in the center with statues of elephants and the like, Putt Putt Golf and Games offers a tougher track than some mini-golf courses. There are a lot of trick holes.

In my most recent excursion, playing the middle course with my 12 year old son, I was able to shoot a one over par 37 with a trio of bogeys( not bad for this course) and a pair of aces. All of the holes are par two. The prices are reasonable, I paid $9 for one game for the two of us.

Putt Putt Golf and Games opens at 3:30 p.m. until school is out and closes at 9. In summer, games must be purchased by 10:30 p.m. In the summer, Putt Putt is open from 11-9 M-F and open later on weekends.

There is a indoor concession area and a game room. The game room has a few video games such as Pac Man and Galaga for 25 cents a game. They have a regulation size, coin operated pool table for 75 cents a game, the same price as the air hockey table. A fun time was had by all at a recent trip to Putt Putt Golf and Games.

A few miles down Zero St. in Ben Geren Regional Park is Gator Golf. 7200 S. Zero is the address. Located near the main entrance from Zero St. into the park, Gator Golf is open from 4-10 p.m. until summer, 12-10 on Saturday and 1-8 on Sunday. Gator Golf charges $5 per person, ages 5 and under play free. Gator Golf is the largest miniature golf course in the Fort Smith area with a pavilion area, and concessions.
