Miniature Scrapbook Albums

They can come with cardstock pages or chipboard pages. Other options would be an accordion album, tag albums and tin albums. There is also two exciting new options in miniature albums. Acrylic albums are a recent trend that allows you to utilize transparent pages. There are also new blackboard albums.

Some benefits to miniature albums would be they are small in size so make excellent brag books. They are made of material that you can paint, stamp and punch holes in so they are completely customizable. Since they typically are smaller than the traditional album, your supply use will be less. They take less time to create. Miniature albums can be purchased online or at your local scrapbook store. Because of their size and materials, they are not as expensive as your traditional scrapbook album. You can also customize the cover to reflect the theme of the scrapbook.

Some drawbacks of miniature albums are that there are no page protectors. This means that any embellishments you use will need to be able to stand up against the test of time and repeated handling. Because they are so small, your embellishments need to be flatter in shape in order to be able to shut the album correctly.

Once completed, miniature albums are unique and full of personality. It allows you more freedom of expression than a typical 12x12 page does. In my opinion, typical scrapbook pages are the work of art and they are simply put in albums. Miniature albums are works of art in and of themselves. Miniature albums make excellent gifts for holidays such as mother's day, father's day, Christmas, Easter, grandparent's day, etc. They also are good ideas for baby showers and bridal showers. Put one on display in your office or cubicle. Just be careful, you may have to make your co-workers one as well.
