Minnesota: A Land of Beauty

Casey
Sounds of snowmobiles rumbling

As they idle calmly, just waiting to be ripped

Smells of exhaust waft across on a breeze

Bringing up memories of my upbringing

About ready to go...

Sleds tear to life, shaving through powder

With wind sailing past my cheeks

Snow glitters all around me

The air is bitter and bone chilling

But so clean and uplifting

I hold on tight as we go across the lake

Throttle pinned to the handlebars

Wide open we fly through the snow

Carving to the left and to the right

A gorgeous Saturday afternoon

Within the beautiful yet harsh, Minnesota
