Favre expected to sell out stadium for Vikings
The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported that the Minnesota Vikings' signing of Favre should help to boost stadium ticket sales and attact sponsors so that there will be no fear of games being blacked out. Just having the former Packers quarterback on the Minnesota Viking roster should generate a lot of buzz among fans in Minnesota and around the country who will tune in or want to be sitting in the stadium seat when Favre takes the field.
Vick not welcomed with open arms by Eagles fans
Michael Vick, on the other hand, is not being welcomed so lovingly in the City of Brotherly Love. The Eagles franchise is taking quite a beating from angry fans and Zazzle is now selling a t-shirt that sports that infamous phrase "Hide your beagle, Vick's an Eagle". That t-shirt sports Vick in an Eagle's jersey, carrying a beagle instead of a football. Will unhappy fans show up to warm seats just to chant that phrase? Philly.com reports that Eagles fans are so distraught over the team signing Vick that they are flooding Craigslist in a bid to get rid of them.
If Jersey sales are any indictor...
ESPN reported that Michael Vick jerseys are for sale and that the minimum has been met to move forward with production. Brett Favre's jersey, on the other hand, will likely be a huge seller. Favre fans won't be able to resist a purple jersey, to go along with the other jerseys of cities past hanging in their closets. Brett Favre said goodbye to Green Bay long ago, but his Packers jersey is still among the top five sold at the Packers Pro Shop, according to the Green Bay Press Gazette. Typically, quarterbacks are popular jersey choices. Time will tell whether Vick's No. 7 Jersey is a lucky number this time around. Currently, the Eagles' Official Online Store lists Vick's new No. 7 Jersey as the most popular pick for men's jerseys. Perhaps Eagles fans are more forgiving than first thought?

Post a CommentThis is a nice article. Vick does seem a bit remorseful for his conduct. Favre is just arrogant. I won't buy either of their Jerseys.
Hero bites the dust, huh?
I just read Ryan's article about Favre, how long before the details change again ..
Great write-up Carly.
