Dark haired pale skinned Jean Claude was the perfect lover, the kind of lover that every woman longed for. The only problem; he was the Master Vampire of the City. He knew Anita was known as the Executioner and was well known for hunting and killing vampires, but he didn't let that stop him in perusing Anita as his love. When Anita was severely injured Jean Claude helped her heal by giving her the first mark of a human servant which Anita was not quite happy with, however it saved her life so she dealt with the consequences; but then unbeknownst to her Jean Claude gave her the second mark which in turn saved his life before he became the master of the city. Further in their relationship Jean Claude, Anita and Richard the local werewolf ulfric become a triumvirate and the strongest trio in Missouri, and Anita eventually becomes Jean Claude's lover.
When we first meet Richard he and Anita were close and trying to decide just how far their relationship would really go, but the realization that Richard couldn't come to terms with is beast. Between that fact and the fact that Anita was more bestial than Richard could handle. After several confrontations and difficulties they decided to part ways as far as relationships came however Anita was still the only human in the pack by being the enforcer of punishments, a job that Richard was too squeamish to be able to perform.
Everyone likes to look in the mirror every once in a while except when that mirror shows you a side that you don't really want to recognize. But Edward was just that to Anita, a good cold hard look in the mirror. Edward is also known as Ted Forrester. When we first meet him we find that Edward was a bounty hunter that decided humans were not difficult enough to hunt, so he switched to hunting vampires and other preternatural beings. He is the perfect killer with nothing to tie him down and no way to crack his cold hard exterior; at least that's what everyone thinks until later in the series when Edward calls in a favor from Anita and she goes to New Mexico to help him on a case. She's shocked to find that Edward has taken up the family life with a local single mom with two kids. Edwards's closest friend could be none other than Anita, despite that fact Anita knows that if it came down to a face off between her and Edward one of them would surely die. She also knew that it would most likely be her. However, they both know that if one is in need the other will be there to help as they have on several missions throughout the series.
Jason is the "pet" of Jean Claude and a pack member of Richards pack, however, the first two meetings between Jason and Anita did not turn out quite on friendly terms. In fact both times Jason tried to eat Anita. Because of this their friendship has a very rocky beginning, however, as the series progresses we see Anita and Jason become very close friends as well as Anita offering him protection when he comes up against some very bad wolfs that Richard can not save him from because of his squeamishness. Jason is also there for Anita when she begins experiencing the ardeur and she has to feed it to keep from tearing everyone apart that comes close to her.
While Anita is dealing with the ardeur as well as taking care of the local wereleopard pack a rouge leopard of her pack invite a new Nimir-Raj to town unknown to her. After meeting Micah and punishing the rogue leopard Anita did invite Micah to stay and be the true Nimir-Raj to her pack. They quickly became quite an item. Micah travels with Anita to help her endure the ardeur and he also helps her with the pack. The one thing that he doesn't mind is the fact that she is not only dating him, Anita is also dating Jean Claude and other men to help feed the ardeur.

Truly no, but can you really call any character minor when it comes to her series? Thanks for the comment
Very nicely written article. I love Anita Blake and these are some of my favorite characters, but can you call them Minor?
