A picture of the product was on the box, so I was eager to do a taste test. The container that holds the product, is a bottle, but is more of an oval shape. It is covered in a silver metallic plastic, and you have to tear it at the side, and pull the top piece off. From here you will see a flip up lid.
It states on the front the it makes 24, 8 ounce drinks. It is 1.62 fluid ounce (48 ml). On the side of it are the directions:
"Make your Mio. Flip it, unlock the flavor, Tip it, each squeeze into water adds more flavor, Sip it, your drink your way, Click it twice to lock tight. One squeeze for an 8 ounce serving. A little Mio goes a long way. Always dilute."
So I picked up a 12 ounce glass, and filled it two-thirds with water from the fridge. I then opened my Mio, and squeezed it into the water. It was a really dark purple color, and came out in a fast single spray. It went down to the bottom of the glass, and then turned the water into a pale purple color.
I didn't have to stir it, and so I took a sip. Immediately I knew that it was a sugar free or no sugar added product, because it had that sweet aftertaste. I know the taste from having my husband's diet coke by mistake, or trying one of his sugar free cookies. I hated it because of that.
I turned the bottle to the back, and it contains zero juice. There are 0 calories, fat, sodium, carbs, sugars, and protein. I looked further down and the ingredients are:
"Water, citric acid, propylene glycol, malic acid, contains less than 2% of natural flavor, sucralose and acesulfame potassium, (sweetener) potassium citrate, red 40, Blue 1, potassium sorbate (preservative)."
If I were on a diet, or diabetic like my husband, then I would be used to the artificial sweetener, and may like it. I couldn't get passed the first two sips. I was going to add another squeeze to the drink, to see what it tasted like, but just couldn't do it.
I asked Len to try the Mio Berry Pomegranate drink, and he liked it. He now has the bottle, and can make a sugar free drink whenever he wants to.
I tried to find it in the stores, but haven't been able to. I did get a coupon with the sample for $1 off a 24 drink bottle. From this leaflet I found out that it comes in Mango Peach, Fruit Punch, Strawberry Watermelon, Peach Tea, Sweet Tea, and the Berry Pomegranate.
So it's for people that diet, or do sugar free products. If you can't take them, then don't even bother to buy this product. You will not like it.

I have never minded the after taste of sugar free, so I might give it a try.
