Miracle of Happiness

Dance as If No One is Watching

Bubba
This week has been filled with negativity in every place I look. The Media only tells the story if it's filled with blood, death, or injury. Truthfully I'm surprised on the coverage of the "Miracle on the Hudson." Maybe it was the death of the geese that brought the Media out. OK enough complaining. Today we look for the miracles of happiness in this negative world.

"Happiness is the Way" was one of my wonderful articles. You too can enjoy it here on AC @ http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/681703/happiness_is_the_way.html?cat=41 Happiness is where ever you look if you look close enough.

First miracle of happiness was a child in a sand box. She had several buckets of sand placed carefully on the edge. She slowly added a few handfuls of sand and stirred. She was singing a song completely involved in her project. She jumped up and danced around. I had to ask "What's ya doing?" Her reply was priceless.. "I'm making soup like Grandma does at the restaurant. You know Grandma sez it won't taste good unless you polka while it cooks."

Same little girl about 15 years later called home saying "I won't be home for Christmas. I'm going someplace warm, full of dancing, and happiness." A few days later in the middle of the night the door bell rang. On the porch was a special little blond dancing a polka in the snow, just as if no one was watching. "I hope you still have the warmest house in town, I know tonight it's full of happiness."

Did you ever experience happiness when you thought no one was watching? This morning as I rolled to my favorite reading room I glanced over to see a gorgeous woman clad in a flannel night gown "dancing to the music." You have to picture this correctly. The yellow flannel night gown has tiny pink roses, her pants are lavender with purple, pink, and red polka dots, fuzzy pink slippers and an aura of complete happiness surrounded her. I feel as Happiness had enveloped the entire kitchen and the Queen Goddess was dancing as if no one was watching. What a beautiful sight! The aroma of frying bacon and griddle cakes was the perfect enhancement for this expression of total happiness.

I know there are more miracles of happiness that I have forgotten. There have been weddings, grandchildren born, dancing in the rain and laughter every day if I only open my heart to see them. I have been reminded that there is happiness in death. Haven't we all been promised we are going to a better place when we leave this life?

Today I wish each of you enough sadness to experience the happiness. I wish you enough rain to make the sun shine worth the wait. I wish you enough good bys to celebrate the hellos. Most of all I wish you the strength to work as if you don't need the money, laugh as if no one is listening but most of all I wish you could dance as if no one is watching.... Mizpah ;-}}>
