Miracle of Seeds and Some Gardening Magic

Dave Bryan
A plant embryo contained within a seed coat with some food makes a seed. With the right amount of water, heat and light the tiny seed will grow into something much larger that can give you food and visual pleasure beyond comprehension. The process is truly a miracle in all sense of the word. Nature plays it's magic with the tiny seed revealing the true miracle of life itself. Without this beautiful and wonderful process there would be no life on earth. We owe our existence to this tiny occurrence.

Think what is involved in growing a plant. All of the conditions are given to us by nature and very few seem to grasp how rare and uncommon these conditions really are. Nature truly has a plan. This plan is well thought out and occurs infrequently throughout the universe. How lucky are we to be a part of this process. To realize that we are as much a part of this plan gives meaning to life itself and shows us that there is much hope as long as life exists.

We plow the earth and plant the seeds. The seeds are planted where there will be plenty of light and make sure they have moisture to survive. We remove the weeds and tell the plants how special they are to us and we get rewarded many times our efforts. With all the labor we put into it the hard work has been done for us. We just follow natures rules and the prize is ours for the taking. We can then sustain our lives and the lives of others. Can there be no better goal or venture? Truly more than the imagination can handle, the essence of philosophy and the mechanics of science.

Let us marvel at the creation of life and not take it for granted. Let us pass these observations on to our children so they too can see the true nature of life. In today's sterile and hectic society we need it more than ever. Our well being and health comes from the realization that life is precious and never to be taken lightly, that we are all in this together and free to express ourselves as nature has intended. Not to be slaves to society but to nature. That is the greatest good anyone could ever hope to achieve.

Well done! I used to be amazed that something I planted would grow--but I had nothing little to do with the process.
