Miracle Theatre in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Brings the Life of Christ to Life

The Theatre is One of the Most Popular Attractions in an Area Full of Tourist Attractions

When one visits Tennessee, he may expect to see beautiful mountains and deer as he drives through a state park or maybe even a bear or two in some parks. He may expect to tour the scenery by helicopter. As he visits Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, he may expect to visit the world famous Dollywood amusement park and see a concert, or two or three, and ride on some of the rides. If you go to Pigeon Forge from March to December and want to see something a little different, you might want to visit the Miracle Theatre and see a hit Broadway show that some say makes the life of Christ seem real in a special way.

The official website of the museum, http://www.miracletheater.com, states that the play, Miracle, is done in a way that makes it an epic. The number of actors, technicians, dancers, singers, and live animals is enormous.

If you view the play, you will start by seeing the story of Creation. You will also see majestic kings on camels. You will see centurion soldiers on horses. Angels will fly overhead, proclaiming the birth of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.

You will actually feel the wind and rain, as Jesus calms the sea. Some say the special effects are awesome. You will be amazed at the miracles of the Son of God, including His walking on water. You will view the glorious events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ. You will see the fall of Lucifer from grace.

Finally you will see the passion of the crucifixion of the Savior as he died for the sins of the world and watch his magnificent resurrection and the miracle of his ascension back into heaven to be with his Father.

The play is performed daily from March through December on Monday through Saturday at 8:00 p.m. There are also 3:00 p.m. matinees on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Season passes are also available. Tickets are $34.95 plus tax for adults and $9.95 plus tax for children. If you purchase your ticket online at the official website you can save $2 per ticket. You can also buy by calling 1-800-768- 1170.

Special group rates are also available for groups of 20 or more. You can fill out a form to get the discount or call 1-888-568-4253.

There are specials for church groups. Besides discount rates, those in groups of 20 or more can receive a personal greeting, a VIP theatre entrance, dinner and ticket packages to other attractions, and discounts on camel rides.

According to the website, http://www.tripadvisor.com, the Miracle Theatre was rated as the 3rd most popular, of 45 rated attractions in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. There were countless positive comments made on the site by those who went to see the play. There were comments such as statements the show was a "must see for everyone," "inspirational," "the most awesome of shows," "inspirational," and would "take your breath away." Some commented on how accurate the show was compared to Biblical accounts of the life of Christ.

The theatre is also showing a new play, Exalt, on Wednesday and Sunday nights.

    I've often heard of this theatre, and would love to go. Here in Florida we have the Holy Land experience (in Orlando), where Jesus' life is also played out.
