Mischa Barton Arrested for DUI

Actress Mischa Barton was arrested early Thursday morning for driving under the influence, possession of illegal narcotics and driving without a valid license according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

According to the police report, Barton was pulled over in her white Range Rover at 2:46 on December 26, 2007 at the 900 block of North La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood. The actress was pulled over after police witnessed her riding in two lanes of traffic and fail to use her signal while she was turning.

During her detainment by police it was determined that Barton was an unlicensed driver and that she was driving under the influence of alcohol. She was then transported to the West Hollywood police station where she was held on $10,000 bond. She was entered into the LASD's records as Mischa Burton, but the police report does give the right name.

Barton, 21, gained fame as Marissa on the now defunct Fox drama "The OC," but has since been looked over by the public eye since she has largely been out of the spotlight. Since her character was killed off on "The OC" Barton has been working as a model and has been a paid partier, much like her fellow DUI alum Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie.

Barton is the latest in what seems to be an epidemic in Hollywood of driving after having one, or more, too many.
