Miss California, Carrie Prejean topless photo is buzzing the internet. The semi-nude picture of Miss USA runner up has been posted on many websites including Perez Hilton's website. According to Perez and thedirty.com there will be much more naked pictures released soon. Miss California believes that the photos were released "surreptitiously to a tabloid Web site that openly mocks me for my Christian faith." the AP reported. Carrie Prejean posed for the topless photos as a teenager. She has defended the pictures saying "I am a Christian, and I am a model," You can easily tell from looking at the pictures they are not very recent.

Miss California was the Miss USA runner up who opposed same sex marriage. The question asked by Perez Hilton about same sex marriage may have cost her the Miss USA title. Many people are defending Miss California by agreeing that the same sex marriage groups are just out to get her. Some Americans have a very different view on her. They are calling for Carrie Prejean to lose her title as Miss California believing she is not a good role model.

Miss California is not the first beauty queen to be involved in a nude photo scandal.
Miss Universe 2008, Dayana Mendoza almost lost her crown when nude pictures surfaced of her. The pictures of Dayana Mendoza were taken when she was only 15 for a Italian jewelery company. Miss Universe ultimately decided to let her keep her crown saying "We embrace and respect her success as a model and the artistic beauty captured in these photographs,"

In 2006 Miss Nevada, Katie Rees was dethroned after pictures surfaced of her kissing another woman and exposing her breast. Katie Rees was only 17 when the risque photos were taken. The runner up, Helen Salas, took the title after Katie was relieved of her duties as Miss Nevada.

In 1984 Vanessa Williams was stripped of her Miss America title after nude pictures surfaced of her in a Penthouse magazine. The photos showed Vanessa Williams with another girl and were taken two years before she was in the Miss America pageant.

Given the fact that other beauty queens have lost their titles for nude and risque photos, will Miss California be dethroned?

The world needs more young woman and men who will stand up for what they believe in. Congrats, Miss California.. Stay the fight, GOD is walking with you. All Christians need to stand up and say enough. Stop persecuting this young woman. I guarantee that the day will come when you stand in front of your maker and will have to attest to your life. What will you say? Pray, Forgiveness, and believe in the power of GOD.

Egads, people are using the woman to support their agendas. Trump said a review of the scores revealed that one question/score did NOT cost her the crown. Regardless, she's the winner b/c of all the publicity, opportunities and jobs she is getting. Releasing these photos isn't an attack against her personally, as mentioned in the article, this has happened many times before. Televised pageants were declining in viewership until all the recent controversy.

I totally agree with Cj on this one, great job!

The article states, "Dayana Mendoza almost lost her crown when nude pictures surfaced of her..." In fact, Dayana was never in any danger of losing her crown and was strongly supported by the Miss Universe Pageant from the very beginning of the controversy. They never "ultimately decided to let her keep her crown," and the writer Colleen Star has just invented these words in an effort to make it look like Dayana was once in trouble with the pageant over the photos. Presumably, the writer's ultimate motive in this falsifying is to make it seem Carrie Prejean is in an even bigger controversy.

I am so proud to be a californian. I think people make the mistake of assuming christians are perfect, but reality is that we all fall short of perfect. Christians though, have a perfect God, who is forgiving, and yes loving. Loving, and just. Just because God loves you doesn't mean He will allow you to live in sin without consequence. Mis california stayed true to herself, her faith, and to the MAJORITY of california.

If you are postulating that a gay man cannot judge a women's beauty pagent, then what you are saying is that pageants really have nothing to do with anything other than sexual attractiveness. Okay. So what about the pageant coordinators and sponsors wanting us to believe that pageants are actually about talent, poise and intellect?
If Carrie Prejean represents Californians, I am glad I moved out. I personally believe that in order to represent such a large, diverse state, you need to be broad-minded and inclusive. She is not, and that is precisely why she was not chosen to be Miss USA. Given the diversity of this country, she would not represent the USA well, either. She says she's a Christian. Christ is really about love, and respect, and reaching out to others. She doesn't do that very well, either, with her narrow point of view.
Christ also did not objectify women; He talked to women whom no one else respected. Posing nude only serves to promote the objectification of women; she d

continued from comment below...If you want to have a romantic relationship with a person of the same gender, keep it to yourself, and most importantly keep children out of it. Don't give reasons to voters to waste their vote or vote for the Republicans either, because then we all will get nothing done in the end because of you. Yes to the woman's right to choose, life does not start before birth, but after birth and continues for years and years later.

It is disappointing that so called "open- minded" people would use their influence to subbotage other's for their opinions.Well done true miss America for having the courage to express your opinion. I support gay marriage, but I think that children need to have a father and a mother figure in their lives would of course be a more tactful answer. Children should not be influenced, and having their lives peprplexed by two adults who for whatever biological or psychological reasons chose a different way of life than what is been considered the normal by the majority of the human race for thousands of years, and what does not deviate from the natural. You want to have intercourse with a consenting adult of the same sex, your business. Don't expect the rest of society to provide you with a seal of approval, and even more don't expect the rest of society to allow you to influence the future generations, and perplex the lives of children with your questionable to say the least ways. If you wa

Carrie Prejean's answer reflects what the majority of Californians are saying about same sex marriage. Californians have spoken and voted on the matter already. She definitely represents California. Perez Hilton on the other hand ogles over men and never even looks at a woman to appreciate her beuty. How can a gay man judge a woman's beauty pageant?
