Miss Lisa's Daycare is Reopening in St. Charles, Missouri - Miss Lisa's Daycare closed in January of 2010, which the owner said was a huge mistake. Not only did she miss the children and the friendships she had established with the parents of all the children in attendance, but also the decision to put her own 3 year- old toddler in another commercial daycare left her feeling empty and restless. She opened for business again on June 1, 2010 less than 6 months after making the decision to close.

It is difficult to find quality affordable childcare in the St. Charles, Missouri area. Although there are many daycare facilities to choose from, many parents, like Lisa are not comfortable with the children to supervisor ratio present at most of the commercial daycare centers. The cost of commercial daycare is becoming expensive with rates starting at $160 per week for one child on the very low side and average cost being closer to $40 per day or $200 per week at the well-established centers.

Miss Lisa's Daycare only charges $95 per week for children 18 months and older and has a ratio of 2 providers to 6 children for the predominant portion of their hours of operation. The facility provides 2 meals and 2 snacks as a minimum and children are allowed to have access to fluids at all times throughout the day.

Her services offer preschool type learning activities and lots of outdoor play for children to expend their energy and be active. In the summer, a small wading pool and plenty of water play activities are available for the children on a full size deck that includes a small slide, a wading pool, and tons of riding toys. The facility is located on a cul-de-sac in a private community that is safe and protected by neighborhood watch groups and a community association group. The closest intersection to the facility is Highway 94 and the Page Extension (Highway 364).

Some of the previous parents have brought their children back to Miss Lisa's Daycare with the Reopening because they missed the personal service provided by the Private Home Center. The Daycare is currently taking applications from new families to fill two remaining openings for full time care. Hourly and part time care, as well as a pay as you go daily rate are available to parents who are seeking employment, provide volunteer services, or work part time.

Miss Lisa's daycare also provides fund raising opportunities for parents to earn points toward their daycare fees. This program helps considerably with parents who can not afford daycare or just want a way to reduce their daycare costs.
